Introducing our newest chassis: The MDT LSS (Light Sniper System)

That is correct. We hope to have the following complete before the end of the year:

LSS for R700 Long Action
LSS for Savage Long Action
LSS for Mossberg MVP
LSS for Tikka T3 (Almost complete)
LSS for Remington Model 7
TAC21 for Tikka T3

sweet! let us know when to send funds and shipping info...

thanx!

Just thinking out loud here, would it be possible in the future to make a vz stock mounting point instead of AR buffer tube? This way one could maybe reduce lop by an inch and use folders like the fab defence uas-vz folder? or an AR folding adapter.

Just received mine, LSS Savage.

The bad:
. Paint is soft, cardboard marks during travel

.Missing paint or scratch

.Fixed adaptor don't fit chassis. I'm unable to screw it normally, it stop after 1 1/2 turn.
Problem need to be fixed, without return if I can.

The good.
The action (Savage target action) fit perfectly, 20" custom barrel. Normally there is a third screw in the middle, but as it wasn't used in my previous stock, not a concern for me.
Look good, well balanced, I hope that target results will confirm.

@pascalp, we are absolutely 100% committed to quality, and this is not acceptable. If you send both the adapter and chassis back to us, we will ship you replacements right away!

Any way to get an lss for a short action Remington in OD green or even in the White? I found it in black and FDE but would like a different color.

Question:

Can a Stevens 200 in .223 with (old style) stagger feed magazine be adapted (remove internal box mag) to work with the Savage LSS and detachable mag? Would this require significant work by a gunsmith?

My centerfeed Stevens 200 with a .223 barrel swapped on works perfectly. The chassis fits both the staggered feed and centerfeed bolt spacing, shouldn't be an issue?

Finally got around to putting my new chassis on and the fit is amazing. There is no play at all in the magazine or the action. I may not bed the action. I had one minor oops where I forgot to use the spacer for the front screw but quickly figured things out. The barrel is 25" and I plan on having it cut to 18.5" (inner side of the tape). Since I have lots of AR-15 accessories it was no problem finding extras lying around. Now all I need is some free time to go to the range. My only minor compliant is I wish the for-end was a little longer.

So is the LSS for Savage usable with the trigger guard mounted bolt release? I'm sure it has been covered in some level of detail, but I just can't find a good enough answer and would prefer one from MDT directly.

Unfortunately not. But we might come out with a version that will. We are being asked daily!

I have the same bolt release, you can file down your bolt release bar an 1/8" to clear the chassis, or dremel a relief cut in the chassis yourself.

You just won't be able to remove the bolt while the receiver is installed in the chassis.

Looks like MDT is releasing the LSS chassis for the Savage LA this month, so I pre-ordered one in FDE for my .300 Win Mag project. Will post pictures once I receive the chassis.

I was hoping to use the Magpul UBR stock for my build, but the stock requires that recessed portion for the anti-rotation lug, which the LSS chassis system doesn't have. The Magpul PRS stock also requires this use of the anti-rotation lug.
Will either have to consider a different stock or make and adapter spacer to be able to use the UBR stock. Perhaps MDT could design an adapter that would look good for use with the LSS chassis?

They already have one.
