IPDA Revolver Class - Newbie needs info

Do you have access to IPSC matches as well? I highly recommend trying both. Some elements of IDPA's rules are patently ridiculous for revolver shooters.

IPSC vs ESR .....SSR vs ESR ....so much to look into. I have to agree some of the rules are challenging to comprehend.
I want to shoot a stock 357/38spl 4.2" (Smith or GP100). Never liked HG's done up looking like spaceguns with scopes and hair triggers...
