IPSC Canada Nationals - Quebec

Maybe we should do the build on the Saturday and Sunday so people don't miss work to help build, shoot the match Mon-Fri because it's worth it to a lot of people to skip work to shoot and then have the teardown on the weekend again. People won't have excuses to not attend the work days :)

Why the facepalm?

Ohhhh..... because what if you needed two rain days? Having the banquet/awards on Sat and rain day on Sunday has a flaw. We can fix it! Have the banquet and awards night on the first night! Then competition can take however long it'll take and people can fly away when they are done because they had the awards on the first night.

anyone know where to buy the max trap mover that was used in the match. This is the one that the shoot target sways left or right and not up or down like a normal up down max trap.
Thanks

Whatever... we did 15 stages in less than 2 days with 14 guys on day 1 and 12 guys on day 2. Both days we started at 9, took an hour for lunch and were off the range by 6.

It's all about knowing the range, and how to design stages to fit on the range and then being organized. I know the ranges I design for, the stages pretty much fit as designed. I create a build sheet with all the required props for each range/stage and a layout of where the stages will reside. We have 1 group do the delivery of all the stuff, 1 group that does the rough assembly and then myself and the MD go through and fine tune it all and after that the RM will go through and double check everything.

My wife and I shot the pre-match squadded with KC, Jesse, and Remi. All I can say was, it was humbling. I have shot two matches in the past three years, including nationals, so it took a while to knock the rust off. All I can say about them is they are very professional and friendly. It was a pleasure to shoot with all of them. Honestly, I had no idea who they where until people started asking me about them. They patched targets, and painted steel like the rest of the squad.

That being said, the pre-match was a bit grueling as we didn't arrive in Quebec until 9pm the night before, then had to setup the fifth wheel trailer and get settled. The next morning, we where on the range at 7am until 8pm. Then had to set up our booth. We lost a tire on our fifth wheel on the way out, hence that pushed back our arrival a few hours.

I sincerely want to extend my thanks to the organizing committee, all the match workers, volunteers, shooters, and CFB Valcartier personnel who welcomed us onto their facility.

Do you ever stop #####ing?

Your glass is half empty and mine is half full. I refuse to look at the world trough pink glasses and sugar coating things.
Even you would agree, that everyone had enjoyed Nationals much more if such obvious things were thought trough. Just a little bit.

I don’t think you look at all. You ##### about every thing at every match. You must be the perfect person. You seam to have the answer for every thing. Even the questions that were not asked. People are tired of listening to you #####. They are way to polite to say it so I will. SHUT THE FU@k UP.

I did not shoot the nationals , but I would like to say thanks you for all your hard work. Heard Nothing but good things about the match.

Dude, you don't have to listen to anything. But I will say whatewer I like. It's a free country. Too bad you can't swallow reality and doesn't want to get from under a rock and improve.

Reality. Here is reality. You go shoot a match then go home and go on every gun forum and ##### and complain about every little thing. If you have all the answers , you put on a major and lets see what you can do. I will just back under my rock.
