IPSC Canada Nationals - Quebec

July 2018 PanAM Hangun Championship in Jamaica.
CROs arrived... to find out they had to build stages... no tools... hence R1Rich comment above.

And flying in & out of Jamaica with guns was at best... quite an experience.

I was sorry for CROs at Jamaica. Don't think I ever seen R1Rich that tired.
But at the same token I liked driving around there much more and roads and even the scenery there were much better than Valcatiers.

I've flown in and out of Jamaica with handguns half a dozen times, it's different than here for sure, but never any real drama.
But I would have been pissed to have to build the stages upon arrival, and that kind of thing has happened at other locations around the world, not sure why MDs think it is a way to get stuff done.

That time they said commisioner hasn't signed off on bringing guns in, I guess MD didn't want to build match for nothing. But again, that was Jamaica, everythying is behind and late...

Apparently the firearms laws / regs changed about a month before the event last year; causing the crazy long processing times at customs. Next time you go, it will be different than you previously experienced, so be ready for extra time spent.
