Rob I will take you up on you offer to train together. PM me and we will get it all set up.

Done. Any other takers? Maybe we can have a little informal "murder the Provincials murder stage" practice session one day. Pick a range we can all get to, hook up on a Saturday afternoon in the sun and everyone practices it 'till they can burn it down in their sleep.

Anyone?

The last time it was 3 plates at 35 yards with no shoots. I told the course designer (an other Open shooter) that this was an A** H*** stage because only a A** H*** would design a stage like this

Thank you.

Regarding the difficulty of stages, specifically the 30 meter popper stage ( taken from 2006 US Production Nats)...as I said before...the actual stages will be quite different appearing then the stage diagrams.

Unfortunately most will be shocked to see that what is assumed to be the most difficult stage will be quite easy in reality, assuming you can hit a 12" wide popper (not plate)at 30 M. If not I suggest a little practice is in order.

This will absolutely not be the most difficult stage in the match for most people by the way.

I a little disappointed that brain trust at Guelph, couldn't come up with 10 stages and has to fall back to using classifiers for our Provincials.

Yes, we are stupid, so stupid we want everyone a step closer to being properly classified in the ICS system.

Glad to see all the discussion over what people imagine the stages will be exactly like, maybe you can find the secret shoot throughs.

The Targeting Education IPSC match has 18 stages and none of them are classifiers and they follow the recommended stage ratio 3,2,1. QUOTE]

Livingston didn't come up with all the stages, USPSA handled the World shoot Qual stages for us.
I thought that wasting a bay for ICS stages so that the people who voted for the new class system can get a L3 score and ICS score at the same match was pretty generous of the match staff. To think that they chose a classifier because they ran out of ideas is just assinine and ignorant. The best L-3 match I've seen in Ontario was the last time Guelph did the provincials (which also had a bunch of people #####ing about it being too tough), so I for one am glad to see it back there with some of the same people at the helm

Well if we can find a date that everyone who wants to play can make, I'd be only too happy to go to EESA for a day of serious practice. Hell, Guelph is closed Sundays now so that limits the available practice days there.

Those who are interested; any suggestions? I'm away on holidays after Wednesday 'till April 22nd.

geeze..... people....

Just let us know once the signup forms are available...

No matter what you do, no matter what you say, you will never please everyone... So just aim to please yourself and and try and offend as few people as possible, knowing that you will never be 100% successful in either.

I don't know that this will be that organized. Just a bunch of friends getting together for some challenging practice. I suppose if enough people are interested we'd have to take it to the next level. But you're certaily welcome to come out and have some fun.

Oh we're all past that now. Everyone seems to have calmed down. This is just a great opportunity to get a bunch of us together for a nice day in the sun doing something productive.
