I am browsing for my first shotgun purchase, as i do not even own a 12ga yet!!!
Let's say i just want to have fun at it but want something i can shoot a while before outshooting.
To be different that all the other shotgun threads, i will simply keep it at this:
Is a choke necessary or highly recommended?
Budget is an issue so getting barrel threaded afterwards would be not doable at the moment.
Budget wise i'm between 400-500$, the way i see it:
mossberg 500/590 have got 20 inch barrels, 7+1 capacity, non-threaded from factory
Remington 870 has got 18.5'' barrel, 6+1 capacity, threaded from factory
Depending on how chokes play a major role will influence my choice quite a bit.
