Ipsic pistol classifications

I did good on the coopers, just had a fat round slow me down however....:(

There is still a s**tload of brass left over from OPSL. Got 28lbs yesterday. Mostly 40's and 38SC (to trade for 40's!)

I'd say there be ooodles of 9mm left.

Just watch for the blackflies, ugh

Tommy tommy tommy..... best to leave the newbies alone 'eh?

I shot the Waterloo IPSC match today. My first match.

It was not a very difficult match. A good one for a newbie. I really enjoyed it.

One big brain fart. I fired just 2 shots at the swinger. Both missed. Should have fired more shots.

Only have to work on 2 things. Speed and accuracy...

Corey is just having fun Wade. He’s the OPSL ‘evil genius’ stage design master for all of Alex’s OPSL matches.

Impressive yoga-like flexibility and clearance of the gal in the Cooper tunnel though.

Evil? At least for the provincials I designed it in a way that there is no prone or kneeling on Range 1 or 2 to make sure we don't have any more scraped knees or elbows.

You are not going to be competitive with any handgun starting out. If the gun works it is fine for the black badge. Steve Anderson achieved grand master class in open with a berretta 92 that he stuck a red dot on. Major minor production with a 40 standard with a nine none of it matters starting out.

If it were me I would suggest you take whatever gun you have a holster and a minimum of 4 mags have fun and be safe.

Being competitive is not even on my radar right now. #1 is being safe while have a lot of fun.

I look forward to shooting weekly practices and matches with a number of different models of pistols (20 or 30) and seeing how they perform under pressure.

One thing I noticed was how many shooters had ordinary problems. One fellow's mag base plate flew off. A number of the shooters had the mag drop out because they had not seated it hard enough. If the hot shots are human.

I only put 2 and 2 together after I posted the pic...If only everyone was considerate enough to match their CGN user name with their IPSC-Ont forum persona...lol...could save me the embarrassment...

And at least now if anyone didn’t know what a Cooper Tunnel was and were afraid to ask...

the RO in the pink shirt looks like he just came from a BBQ and a parade

the rules of ipsc are simple; priority dictates
1.have equipment that makes u look cool
2. gun like a hero even if u shoot like a zero
3. wear a jersy with tons of names on it so squad mates think u r a sponsored shooter
4. safety is somewhere 4th or 5th

just kidding

Tommy, what power factor is your ammo? This was a 7 yard target that you shot on the weekend and the projectile was stopped dead by the target stick. I also noticed a few longer range targets that had dents, but no holes, and projectiles laying under the target. Is this why you aim several feet over the target at longer distances? I see chrono in your future. Oh, and are you sure that your gun fits in the box?
