Is anschutz and CIL the same

A final note about CIL Anschutz rifles. I said earlier that all CIL Anschutz rifles have counterpart Anschutz models. I should have been more specific by saying that all CIL Anschutz bolt action rimfire rifles have counterpart Anschutz models. In other words, bolt action CIL Anschutz rimfire models are Anschutz-made.

The semi automatic CIL Anschutz rifles such as the Models 520 and 525 and the 300 and 470 are not made by Anschutz. I seem to recall they are Italian-made, perhaps by Marocchi.

all my friends in Canadian Army Cadets were "issued" the anshutz/CIL 310 rifles and I think our friend that was a BC biathalon competitor in his teens... and one of the best at the time, was shooting the 190-S
I actually bought one of the former cadet rifles , a 310 , from one of those guys.
I foolishly sold it here on CGN in the early days of my membership

Nice. When I was in cadets it was LE No 7's. Jesus, that was almost 60 years ago now. - dan
