Is anyone changing things this season ?

I am having great luck with this rifle it feeds every bullet I have ever tried in it from 200gr RNFP 45 Colts too 405gr WFNGC 454 Casull's.

Once I removed the piece of crap fiber optic rear sight and installed the rear sight from my Marlin 1895GS I found this rifle to be extremely accurate resulting in 1" - 1 1/2" 50 yard groups with my 240gr XTP-Mag @ 2300fps 454 Casull loads.

I haven't had time to work with this load at longer distances yet but will have it figured out before I head out hunting in about 2 weeks.

Well I commited to hunting a new spot for moose with a friend, and afterword found out I won the Bull lottery in my usual WMU, so I'll be helpinng him find a moose, and then trying for an adult with the usual crowd...

Also hoping to get out specifically for a couple of huge blackbear that have been walking past my trail cams...

gave up on making the gov rich only to get bedismaly low tag count in tario so booked for moose in nfld. ya I get to hunt:runaway:

gave up on making the gov rich

A couple guys in my group have decided not to take the doe tag they won this season due to the new rule of paying $20 if you win. Its not that they cannot afford it, but simply the fact the Gov't decided to charge this for the first time without any explanation. Its $40 plus for a deer licence, $8 I think it was to register for the doe lottery, and $5 to register your deer when you do get one. So its around $75 to shoot your doe ....getting pretty pricey. The least they could have done was tell us where the $20 is going.

Buy yourself all the new toys you need, but for some it may be beneficial to get into better shape. No sense in buying a $4000 gun and not being able to pack it without wheezing your guts out.

I'm going to try some still hunting this year,I'm normally a walker. Also this year the ole 30-06 will be sitting in the safe except on rainy days.I've got a couple of new 99's that I want to hunt with this year a .308 and a .250 .

This year I'm going to hit the deer for a change! I might use the .308 for deer as well, instead of only taking the .375 H+H.

Theres not many want to hear that, but good on you for the truth:)

Because of the price of gas I won't be going on any speculative trips to areas I don't know, but will go to one specific area to try to fill my LEH doe tag and find her boyfriend. Might try this 30-30 Marlin I restored from a rusted seized basket case. See how she shoots at the range tomorrow.
