I would shoot that deer around here, if I had a draw and lots of time in an area with Mega Bucks I might think about holding out. He has good forks on both sides and is a good buck, there is no shame in getting one like that.
Like others have said, really depends on the area you are hunting. Nice deer anywhere, but far from the best you MAY do in many areas. A big deer is relative to the area you are in.
I'm afraid I would be knocking off the safety and getting ready to let 'er rip.
The Muleys I've been seeing lately have real trashy racks, the clean ones like that are hard to come by. I would imagine he is mid 150's, maybe more, I have a hard time without his ears out to tell, but he is a nice one!
I'd love to see some with junk on it, I seem to only ever catch real clean 4x's out in the open. Saw one last night that's going to give me nightmares until I'm drawn again
I would wait until season is almost over before thinking of taking that one. However, I have managed to perfect a way to see way bigger deer. tag that "little" one and for the next few days will see way bigger deer, never fails!
My advice, it depends on what you have gotten before. If you already have a 160-170 then no, but if you haven't gotten your first bigger buck, then get out and grab it. My motto is get your first big one under your belt, then get picky.
Would depend on what part of the season , tags available and so on. Killing a deer is a small part of the hunt for me , the last week , this deer would not walk away, unless I knew a booner was in the same area, and I had a deer in the freezer.
