looks like people are starting to think they can get more for a used one than what a new one is worth part of the appeal of a 10 22 is thier affordability I have two and like them but I wouldn`t pay the kind of prices I see in the EE

I don't think the EE prices are warrented ... But neither are the 75 dollar pmags ..just dishonest people trying to capitalize on an unfortunate situation. 400 is about top dollar on a scoped 10/22 with a couple extras maybe a little more with some of the nicer chassis or bull barrels but 7 bills for a bonestock ... Get real
yes I saw that one but didn`t want to mention it to dish the seller he did say that it is a beauty.

My plain 10/22 purchased last week has a cast aluminum trigger housing and old school mag release. HORRIBLE coarse crunchy trigger. I spent some time with stone and files, now it is SWEET!
Plastic groups in my TD and SR were OK out of the box, but can't compare to the new one after some elbow grease. I guess I need to clean up the other ones now too. An overtravel stop is about all thats lacking, also cheap/free with a little labour/scrounging.
Take some advice from an old shooter who's on his 4th marriage..............scrap the whole program..........wedding, honeymoon and new 10/22 for the bride............ and just enjoy shooting the gophers singly, or with a buddy, with the 10/22 you have. You will live happily ever after, trust me!!!!! You'll have way more money for the things YOU want to do, you can drink as much beer/scotch/rye whenever you want, you can buy guns whenever the urge hits you, you can belch, fart and swear whenever you feel like it and the mundane day to day stuff you can hire a house keeper for and it will cost you 1/10th of the program you are considering embarking on now. Just a word of warning, if you continue on the course you are on now, all these things will evaporate and in 5 years you won't be hunting, let alone gopher shoots, your paycheck will go into the JOINT account that you DON'T have cheques or a debit card for, your friends will be UNACCEPTABLE and not welcome in your house. A new ATV/Argo/sled/motorcycle will be out of the question because new kitchen cabinets take priority. I hope you are really in love with your pickup you have now, 'cause you ain't getting a new one for 10 years, after her new economic, little run around car is paid for then comes the minivan/SUV for the safety of the children............OH YA then comes the children.............. I'll quit now, I'm getting depressed and my blood pressure is dangerously high...............maybe I'm just cynical.............Just be aware there are something like 3 BILLION of them out there, you don't have to have just one!
