Question not about hunting but hiking in the wood. As far I understand from the discussion I am allowed to have NR firearm with me while on the hike (not in provincial parks)
BTW, I have question, how they make animals not atack people in provincial parks?
When was the last time someone got attacked in a park? Or not in a park? There are more incidents happening in Coquitlam and Port Moody where you can't carry a gun anyway and they usually involve a dog.
The fact is that thousands and thousands of unarmed outdoor recreation enthusiasts enjoy wilderness hiking, camping and mountaineering in BC every year in parks and outside of parks. It seems like only gun nuts don't know how to do it without a firearm. I'm guilty of it too.
Hey, I know, this is a gun nut site. That's why we're here, and saying that is like going to an ATV site and saying "what's wrong with you guys, ain't you got legs?"
But to be honest I'm more afraid of a nervous nelly with a gun than a wild animal.
Did you hear of the guy who was shot by his buddy in their shared tent because he thought he heard a "bear"?
