Is it worth it to get the restricted license to get handguns

Why not ? Then u can buy or don’t have to buy the option is yours . If you don’t have it then u simply can’t buy , I prefer the choice

^^agreed get em both just incase your at the range make some firends they let you shoot their pistols and boom you want one but can't have one :/ like ordering off the kiddie menu

You don't have to buy a gun right away.
Just getting the license is an important message to the government - that we will not be bullied.

For me, owning a restricted firearm is a political statement and an expression of my legal rights.

I'd say it's especially important given all the talk these days. I'm still kicking myself for being late to the party and thus not having a 12.6 today.

Get the license and buy at least one restricted....you never know what might happen.

Yes, get your R-PAL!

Always better to have it and not need it, than need it but not have it. If any of the proposed handgun/black rifle bans come into law, you can still purchase something and then get grandfathered in. If you wait until some law gets passed, your window for action may close before you get a chance to do anything about it.

At 57, just got mine. Have had long guns since I was 10. Always though about getting handguns, but never did anything about it until this year.

It is worth it! I finally got mine several years ago after I realised that it wasn't a big deal, just a process. Once I had my RPAL and took my Dad and brother shooting they both got their RPALs and have bought several firearms each. We are responsible folks who enjoy the shooting sports and our ranks need more members! Come join us, it's fun.

Absolutely worth it, handguns and AR's are a hell of a lot of fun. Buying my first handgun led to meeting some of the coolest people I have ever met, competition shooting and some great friendships.
