Is my rifle overpriced?

Its a mixed parts gun, I would say your over by 1K. If you part it out youll get more cash.

You'll do way better breaking it down. Sell optics and Surefire seperately. You'll move the upper and lower much faster if sold seperately.

You'll do even better by putting the upper back into original condition and selling the LaRue seperately as well.

Sell off the Troy sights, Tango Down VFG, sling, etc...seperately as well.

You lose money selling them with the upper and by reducing the price you need to charge for the upper, will probably move it faster in these tougher economic times, especially just before Xmas.

It would also help for you to use paragraphs in your listing, instead of having all the text run together.

Post full size pics and more of them. For the poor unfortunates still on dial-up, they will PM or E-mail if they're seriously in the market.

Replace the high quality accessories with UTG and Leapers crap it will sell in a day around here.
Given that there is a US Gov ACOG on the top of it (yeah it fell off a truck!!), well that would drop the price some as well :)

Well it's not cheap to build an AR:eek:. It's also Christmas is around the corner and recession:( But if this was mine i would part it out and start with these price's
Acog $1200
Larue sling $ 60
Larue hand rail $ 350
Magpul trigger guard $ 25
Magpul Miad $ 40
Magpul CTR $ 100
Rail cover $ 30
Tango down v grip $ 60
Troy F/R sight $ 275
Smith Vortex $ 80
Low profile gas block $ 50
Rifle case $ 30
5/30 mag $ 25
16" upper with BCG $ 800
Lower reciver with parts $350

Total $ 3475 + - $100
You still have the 3.5 trigger and Surefire:)

Does your AR have a bayonet lug? If not then maybe that is the problem of not being able to sell it? Everyone wants mill spec down to the bayo lug.

I've had what I think is a good quality AR for sale for about a month now with no bites. Am I overpriced? Does the market suck now? Please give me your opinions publicly or privately. Thanks, Mark

I saw that rifle in the US at Big5 Sporting goods for $699.....so yes way over priced!!!!!! They had a xmas sale package with eotech etc for around $1000....gotta love he americans...

She is a beauty, but for a guy like me who has to pay a fortune in membership fees to shoot a restricted at a range, I go for the non-res rifles.

Just my opinion.

Most guys who attach this koolaid gear dont run Eagle arms as their AR15s, I think that is the problem here. If this was a Colt or LMT or Sabre or Noveske, then this would be a great deal.

You are better off selling the AR15 as a $1k+ rifle and let us buy the cool toys separate.

I don't know much about AR's but I have been researching for a build, and I don't think you are out to lunch on your pricing, that being said if you do decide to part it out I would be interested in the upper depending on price :)

I dont think your overpriced at all. You have a very nice gun there with lots of options. I just bought a Cx4 and by the time I got the gun, got it rebarrelled to non-res, bought a decent scope and case etc I'm sitting around 2500 invested. Its like the other posters are saying, yours is very personalized and not everyone wants that. Might have better luck strippin it down and sellin it

My only issue is that $3K is more than I would spend on something I can only use at the range. This is more to do with our "nanny" laws than the value of your AR. Face it, our laws severly impact the market value for some used firearms.
I don't think the majority of people feel that way dude. Have you seen the prices on some Swiss Arms rifles or an HK upper? I own 1/2 a dozen firearms, and only 1 of them is non-restricted, I didn't buy it either, it was a hand me down from my father. I'd say 95% of my shooting is at paper in a range. And I couldn't be happier.

From my point of view, I really don't feel like I'm missing anything. What makes a farmers field so much more entertaining?

Anyhow, as for the original post, I would part it out, I guarantee you'll sell it fast that way.

Enjoy the new kitchen!!;)

My 2 cents is why pay so much for something that I can only take to the range and punch holes in paper! But you do have a really nice rifle! If it were non rest. then totally worth it !
