Is owning a .444 Marlin and a .45-70 Guide gun redundant??

I kinda feel they both do the same job ie: shooting distances and overall handiness. I am comin to the Gunnutz peanut gallery for guidance!!:D

I would stick with the .444. Nice walnut, curved lever, no X bolt safety, it looks like a rifle. The guide gun (I owned one) is chunky not balanced well and if it is ported, a PITA and the ears. The short barrel does effect performance also. Of course this is only my opinion...

Oh I am always asking myself those kinds of questions too...and I really need to stop. ;)

Mark when are you going to get a big brother for those two little girlie guns?

Stop mucking around and get a 50 110!

I don't think you are out of control until would have two of the exact same gun, caliber included.

There are so many diferent colors of box liner you will have a few more to collect yet!
