Is RCBS going down? Very long waiting time to speak to support rep: almost 2 hours (called 3 times) ! Now there is no direct link to RCBS representative, call center only.

Just recently purchased brand new RCBS 2-Die Set 35 Remington RCBS #: 16501

Brass fills loose inside resizing die and body of the die hits case neck. After talking to rep I was told that most likely body of the die was not milled properly inside and I need a replacement die. I was asked to provide the original receipt and without that they cannot help me!!!
In good case scenario I need to send broken (brand new) die to California (probably cost me $15-$20), RCBS will determine the problem and maybe I will get a replacement (if I have an original receipt). If I do not want to have all these hassles, just through it to the garbage bin!

This is last time I buy RCBS dies. I currently own over 10 RCBS dies and since RCBS was bought by other company, there is no more customer service from RCBS. Very bad service!

Did anyone experienced the same problem?

had dealings 2 times this year, one on a progressive press and the other on a lube sizer, both cases I explained the issues, going thro the parts diagrams on the web page identified the parts and they mailed them no charge,

in both cases I used the contact us on the net and they called back on the press to discuss the issue, 100% satisfaction for me

Rule 5. Personal insults are not permitted.

I have found that RCBS can be like the OP said. I have had issues sometimes with a rep. I just hang up and call later that day or next day and its like a whole different experience. Where the first rep wouldn't help at all the next one couldn't help enough. My brother in law has been dealing with RCBS for several decades and has noticed the same thing the last couple of years.

I just called RCBS.
I was on the phone for a total of 14 minutes.
I have a pair of primer pocket swager rods and a power adapter for my Chargemaster 1500 on the way at no charge.

Next on the list Hornady Customer Service.
I love listening to their automated service.
They have a sense of humor.

A RCBS Ultrasonic Case Cleaner I bought within the last year has started to leak and last week they wanted me to send it to California for repair. I can only imagine how much it would cost me to ship that. I guess I live with the leak.

That said, RCBS products have been solid for me and that's been my only contact with their CS.

Buy Hornady and you will get top drawer service even though it's not current equipment or you may have £#{<€] it all by yourself!

So, are you ranting or asking for assistance ?
RCBS are the best bang for the buck and hardly believe they are asking for proof of purchase .
Email them asking for direction and then decide if they are not worthy of continued support.

I had a problem with a carbide die, and dealing with RBCS on this issue was the same as when I had to deal with them regarding a completely different problem a number of years ago..... excellent, prompt service.

A couple months ago I was swapping dies in my press and I dropped the sizing die on the floor and broke the decapping pin.
No replacement parts were available locally. I phoned RCBS and told them what happened. I told them it was my fault
and offered to pay for the parts and shipping. The person I spoke with said: "That's okay we will look after you"
My dies were older ones and the decapping rod and expander had been updated. The new parts arrived a couple weeks later.

I had a similar experience.

My CM1500 power adapter started acting up. Machine in question was less then a year old and I had the bill of sale. The warranty service rep wanted me to send it back to California so it can be examined and fixed but eventually agreed to sent me a new power adapter instead. Got it in about 1-2 weeks.

Overall, I was happy with their warranty service.
