Is the benelli m4 still "the" shotgun to get?

I will also eventually get a Benelli. I would love to get the HK Marked Super 90. Are they available used still from time to time?

I love mine with 7 rounds ( legal) 5+1+1 ( ghost shell sitting on the carrier plate ) i do trick shot for the kids at the farm, like it was said this shotgun is wicked.

But comparing to things u can get in Canada, for 3 gun, an m4 is a poor choice compared to something like a versamax or a5. But on a strictly tactical basis, m4 probably is the best, unless fabarm offers something comparable? I know for sure that the fabarm pumps certainly surpass everything else on the market.

So I get that the versamax is cheaper, but what makes the versamax better for three gun?

Versamax and A5 have 3.5" chamber allowing more 2.75" to legally fit in the tube.

I've just started doing local competitions and have been using my M4, I know this isn't normal but at those competitions they only allow you to load 5 max at the start of the stage anyways (in fact the way the stage is built you can never have more than 5 in the gun) so the Versamax would be of zero advantage to me

I had an M4. Awesome shotty. It's a true sports car of the shotgun world. Sold it because I never every used it, and had no plans too. If you can afford it, and you need a semi auto shotgun, highly reccomended.

Do you ever have any issues with this, does it go boom every time?

7 shots rapid fire as fast as you can pull the trigger?

Will it work like this with even low end birdshot?

I think the direction of the question may have changed
There is a big difference between a combat shotgun and a compatition gun.
M4 is the best combat semiauto.
M2 pimped out is the best compatition gun.
If it were not for our laws in canada no one would be running a versamax

There are a lot of versamax at USA 3 gun events. The M2 is a nicer gun but also a good bit more money.

Why would nobody be running a Versamax ? It’s a well made shotgun that has been well received & plenty of people buy them from Remington / Gravel in Canada & whole host of accessories have been made for them.

Yes, the one once shot cheapest shell work wonder for rapid fire, my M4 never have issue, i had 2 when it was new with weak loads, since then, perfection and a lot of fun.

Get the 5.9 mag tube . It will hold 5 - 3 inch mags or 6 - 2 3/4" plus 1 plus 1 for 8 total . I think i got mine from S&J .

I just leave the flush fit full choke in my M4 and with the T2 Micro on top i can shoot 5 shot groups of 4 inch at 100 yards using Brenneke 3 inch mag slugs . I love this gun .
