Is the Frankford Arsenal Rotary Wet Tumbler worth purchasing? (steel pins)

adrenaline681 the orange, or in extreme cases, pink colour is a result of “dezincification”. There's some debate as to whether the lemishine causes “dezincification” or just makes it visible but it's a known problem.

Gentleman,

I tasted the koolaid drink.

Not sure how I like it yet... I'm having a hell of time getting the pins to work with me.

Yes, I am going to do that.
I'm sure it is going to get easier... the first time is always the hardest.

I can't believe how quiet it is!

I assume you're talking about separating them? If so buy the wet/dry separator or something similar.

Finally got my hands on one of these!!! I will never go back to the conventional method! I can't get over how well it cleans! even stained brass comes out looking new! only downside is separating the pins after! even drying is easy, using a dehydrator I got for free! its nice to not have to clean the primer pockets with my case prep tool as it took forever. Super happy with it!

For the pins, one one side i put the collator cap and shake all the water and pins into a big bucket, then i add more water shake it and drop all the pins and the new water into the bucket, i do t his maybe like 5 ot 6 times shaking it very vigorously until the water comes out clean and almost no pins come out.

At this point i have like 95% of the pins out, i remove all the pins and water from the bucket and i drop all the shells in this bucket and fill it with water, I stir it with my hand, any pins still inside shells should drop and stay at the bottom of the bucket, i remove the shells with my hands and lay them on a plastic tray, where i use the magnet to pass on top of them and pick up any pins left.

Finally i pass the magnet again over top of the shell been very careful to not touch the shells, and i listen to see if i hear any pins moving inside shells. When i dont hear anything im pretty confident i removed 99.9% of the pins.

I hope this helps.
Happy reloading!

That seems like a lot of work to save $60.

I toss the contents of the tumbling barrel into the wet/dry seperator and 6 turns later I'm done.
