Is the USA glock just as good as the Austrian?

Every bit as good. I'm a Glock armorer an cannot say that I see any difference in the parts quality.

Hey six gun, I just picked up a G20. Does the 3.5lb disconnector really make a difference in trigger pull? I bought the gun strictly for ####s and giggles:p

Oh yes!! Huge difference compared to a stock trigger! I used my friend's at a course. I was outshooting the instructor ( who had a stock trigger G19) with the Ghost trigger equipped G17. My normal gun is a stock G19 also and the trigger makes a huge difference for reset and creep.

Yes the 3.5 will make some difference. For what it seems that most ppl either like them or not. I have several of them in stock for that reason. If you have used Glock with 3.5 before you'll know it.

Lighter isn't always better. The 3.5 lb disconnector with the NY1 spring gives a heavier pull but with a much better defined breaking point. I seem to do better with this setup vs. the mushy stock trigger.

I have installed the 3.5 pounds spring and connector kit...
The trigger is awesome this way, big improvement over stock, for the small cost, do it... JP.

I run a NY2 'orange' trigger mod in my G4 G19. Gives me about 10-12 LBs, similar to a double action pull. I am used to it, and comfortable with it.

I did not buy my Glock to be a target pistol, I bought it to save my life if needed. All my shooting, 110% of this, is reflected in pracs in instinctive/tact techniques :)

The 3.5 pounds kit really make my G19 Gen 4 106mm NT barrel my most accurate 9mm, extremely impress by this pistol, it have save the day for all my other Glocks... JP.

I have had both and both have been 100% reliable.

Only failures I've ever had were shooting through ports where the port stopped my slide from fully closing. Not the gun's fault at all.

My new Gen4 17 is USA made and there is no difference to my friends Austrian made.

non scientific just personal experience i find the original Austrian ones better with the finish.
better in that they dont seem to scratch as easy and i personally like the darker color.
i know the color can change from batch but the old Tenifer ones are richer and darker in color and seem to not scratch like the newer ones.
thats just what ive seen.
may not seem like much but if you plan on using a holster a lot or doing 3 gun it may make a difference as the Tenifer is known to hold up a bit better.
and lets face facts, if the US hadnt banned the Tenifer finish they still be making them with it because it was better/more resilient than what they have now.
