is there a 'best' Glock?

Well, for me it would have to be a Gen4 17 (which I own). The earlier model frames just didn't work for me, I really like the RTF and wish it were more aggressive on the Gen4. One of these days I'll get some hands on with a G19, but until then ....

I personally think the G34 is it.

Longer sight radius, lighter trigger, ext slide stop.

A long slide in 10mm would be great.

i have the 17C and love it but i have been quietly waiting for the G40 to hit the streets up here.
ya thats right, i said C.
once i shot the C i could never go back to the others, just love the compensated, makes me shoot better on follow up shots.

i agree with you, a long slide 10mm is what im wanting right now.
i have a fever.... and the only cure for that fever is more cow bell, or in this case more 10mm!

I like my 17 gen 4. I purposely plan on owning only 1 handgun since we can't do f** all with them around here anyways, and never cleaning it lol 1000ish rds so far, all kinds of ammo no issues at all even with s***ty KCI mags.

Funny, I'm the other way. I'd like something between the G20 and G29 in dimension - a 10mm with g19ish dimensions. I found the G29 grip to be a bit short.

Just purchased my G17 weeks ago. I was not familiar with either grip before I had the opportunity to shoot my friends gen 3 and 4 before I made my decision. Unfortunately pistols are like shoes when comparing who likes what best, for what type of hand/foot. As I'm sure you are aware it will be different with every user.

To my knowledge, the grip angle has not changed, only the opportunity to give the grip a different contour with the backstraps. To change grip angle would mean they would have to redesign the firearm and the parts to go with it. If any changes were made, they are negligible at best.

Actually, the Grip Force adapter does slightly change the grip angle by filling out the top and leaving the bottom thin, the stock Glock backstraps don't.

I'm impressed nobody made a reply like, 'best Glock is the one in my hand' or 'shoot the most' or anything like that.

saying that though, I expect a few wise cracks now, LOL!

I'm interested in trying something like a 34 for the long slide. I'm 'okay' shooting the 17 g4 at 10 yards. would love to upgrade it with a RDS tho.

I love Glock because nothing is better than out shooting 1911 fan boys with a plastic gun ;) I find glocks trigger is less forgiving to bad trigger control then SA guns, but you cant blame a gun for your poor shooting abilities.

Nicely said about trigger control.. a lot of folks give up and mod the heck out of them..

One of my course mates on a black badge course was running a glock, as was the instructor. Instructor's glock had multiple hard extractions and my buddy's glock had a light primer strike resulting in FTF every other magazine. The problem was replicated with different ammunition. Not to hurt any feelings, but seeing those two problems on the same day shook my faith in glock quality control. /sadface

probably modded the glock with garbage after market parts... I played that game and lost, I will never put that junk in my Glock again!

Most armies and SF groups are using glock now, if they had any issues they would of never of adopted it.

Sorry if I've offended the glock gods. I recant, there's no way a glock could ever come out of the factory with a defect
