Is there a need for more Cdn made AR parts?

...Does it matter if its in their power?

But yeah, that's pretty ridiculous. Not that i would care about FA marking anyways. I haven't even ordered one, and wont due to current monetary issues. But I like nontheless.

Guys I don't like it either. To have someone get jacked up and screwed over by some LE official who is not gun friendly simply because of a marking on a lower is just not something I want to be responsible for.
Whether the CFC/RCMP lab super is right or wrong, or has the authority to interpret that laws, I am not going to question.
I was told "do not mark all 3 positions" so will not.
I don't agree with this, but I also don't agree that GSG 22 caliber rifles should be declared prohib simply because they "look like MP5s"
The firearms laws do NOT make any sense, we all know that, but to actively look for a hassle just doesn't make sense to me.
If anyone decides to mark the 3rd position on their own there is nothing I can do about it, so if they do get crapped on, they do so at their own risk.
Like it or not being the manufacturer I have to abide by the stupid rules as well as the less stupid 1s.

More bad news. We got a full breakdown on actual finished cost of these lowers.
For those who have deposits on our lowers, we WILL honor the price quoted,
unfortunately all new orders will have to be at $475.00.
At the $400.00 price we are in fact loosing $32.00 per lower.
Not making much or anything on these until we get production costs down due to volume was expected, but to loose money on a continueing basis makes no sense.
Hopefully there is some understanding here and I am certain that once this initial batch is out, there will be very positive reviews, that will over shadow the increase on projected cost.

Yes. Follow the rules and get them made. That is the main thing.

Rick, for the lowers I'm requesting, I'm more than happy to cover any extra costs.

It's more than worth it.

I don't work that way. For the guys that put their money where their mouth is, I say THANKYOU!! and will maintain the quoted prices. Without the support of those willing to take a chance, this project, like so many would have not gotten off the drawing board so to speak.
I should have triple confirmed ALL my pricing BEFORE starting the thread, but in all honesty did not figure the project would fly.
They say education is expensive, well I just learned another valuable lesson, don't throw out numbers until you KNOW what they really are.

I wish i had the money to pick one of these up now, but without a job for the winter its hard. From reading your last couple of statements i can garantee you will see my money for one of these in the close future.

You are a courageous man Rick. You took an idea and went full steam ahead. Judging by the orders you have received and the promise of more to come puts reward far ahead of risk.:D

With a special product like this no one here wants to see you lose money. If it's an extra $75, no problem with me. You'll be getting my order in the new year. Right now I have Xmas presents for the grandkids to buy:dancingbanana:

Rick, I'm still saving up for two. the extra $75 a piece isn't much of a big deal. Once the Xmas/New Year's BS settles down at work, I'll know how much I'll have to spend.

Rick, keep on truckin' and hopefully the LPK comes through as well. I would sooner support Canadian manufacturing, and to help justify the cost, I would pick it next time I'm in your neck of Alberta to save the freight. Just let me know when they are hot off the presses.

the beaver logo Joe put on his Dlask lowers was done at the same time as the serial numbers and anodizing, by laser. Much cheaper way of putting custom logos and serial numbers on, and legal by CFC standards. since you are already getting them anodized, talk to your shop and inquire about laser engraving. If I remember correctly it would have only been $100 more for color laser engraving (not sure how that all worked).

Alberta Tactical Rifle , I ave a good ideal for you . Build a Swiss Arms Lower compatible with the Ar-15 mags (like the Sig 556) with the Ar-15 Stock ....

For this upgrade on my Swiss Arms 500$ is not a problem.
