Is there a need for more Cdn made AR parts?

interesting on the laser engraving and depths Rick. Maybe Joe isn't doing it that way anymore? but when he was doing that way, it met the RCMP's regs for marking of the gun. And since it was done at the same facility as the anodizing, it sped up the process for him. I should've thought a bit more and realized that maybe not all anodizers have laser engravers. Nonetheless if you are getting a lot of calls for a special logo that just won't be easy or good looking to do on a mill, laser might be the way to go.

If you (ATR) are going to know who gets what serial #, can you start the transfer process with CFC, when you order it NOW...instead of waiting for them to be made?
Killing 2 birds with one stone.:)
For us Ont. folk where restricted transfers seem to take a long time.:p

Now that's funny. Think about it... he has to build the lower before he can register the lower into the CFC Database and you can't transfer a "registration" that doesn't exist in the first place.

Besides which... Ontario transfers are pretty fast these days... of course Quebec continues to be slow.

 It was just a thought.

Has anyone received theirs yet? When they arrive some pics should be posted so the rest of us can continue kicking ourselves in the ass for not jumping on the deal when they were still $400!

yea I wanna see what they look like!
I thought we would be flooded with pics by now.
AlbertaTacticalRifle, Even some "the making of a billet lower" pics would be interesting to see if you've been taking any.

No they have not as they just went into production.
We were held up by having to modify a fixture.
I figured it was better to take a bit longer and get them perfect than to disappoint anyone, there is enough schlock already on the market and I don't want my name on anything that is not 110% first rate.

There will not be any photos until I get back from SHOT show as I leave in a few hours and just don't have time.

Patience is a virtue;)

Rick... don't rush... the weather down here sucks :(

Got here yesterday and it was cloudy and cool... today is cloudy and rain and windy.

Tomorrow is supposed to be sunny and in the 60's

Give me a shout once you arrive...

I'll be sure to take pics of mine, both stripped and then as a finished rifle.

I have no expectation they would have been done now.
It was originally stated 6-8 weeks. Don't forget to throw in the holidays.
I would be happy to get mine in the beginning of Feb.
