Is there a need for more Cdn made AR parts?

so rick, pop question... can I get a red anodized rail to match the colour of my lower now ?? probably a full length rail. :)

I sure wish you had said something last week and we could have held back a rail and included it with your red lowers to be anoed at the same time.
If we get time to make up another short run of rails I will get it made red just for you.:D

Some more teaser photos.

This is the test subject, it has been run through its paces and works flawlessly.
We are about 65% done on the first 50 lowers, so things are moving along nicely.

Is there other color choices of anodizing availlable?

I am pretty sure any colour you want... but for odd ball stuff cost is goign to be more because he has to one off it.

I am getting red, and another buddy is getting a red lower for his brother and his second lower is od green i think.

That's gonna look pretty wild red, definatly get the rail to match. I'll just stick to black on this one but maybe the next one from ATR will have to be in technicolor.

I have one in red, and one in black coming.... serial numbers ending in 069, one from 2008 production, one from 2009.... yeah I know they are both 2009, but I am going to buy one every year he makes them :)

so 2010 I am going to get a green one :) then a blue, then an OD, maybe a FDE then get a gold one, or a pink one...

Those photos look great. I got an ACOG off the EE I am waiting to try, I will wait for my custom ATR to come instead of just running my Dlask lower. That will be a fun day at the range. :)

I think rick should build a pink demo model..... I know some girls who would model it for him, hint hint..... swimsuit calender.

The pink 1 is already spoken for. Long Range Canuck is the lucky devil to get the pink 1. Exactly how we will make it pink for him I am still trying to work out, but we will try to get it to match his quading dress.:p

Guys 1 thing you need to understand is that to make different colors, new dip tanks and color pigments must be purchased by the anodizer. This can get very expensive for 1 or 2 parts to be done.
In all honesty I know little of the process at this time, but will learn more about the process as time goes by. My understanding is that the 7075 T7 material we are using is about the hardest aluminum there is to anodize.
The fellow we are using is very particular about his work. I am told that to change the color in an existing tank can contaminate that tank permanently therefore requireing the purchase of a new tank for each new color.
I will look into this more and get more info that I hope will help us all understand the process better.
Back to work now:D
