The only one you need to worry about is the Benelli R1 all the others are simply a step down....there is one for sale in the EE right now good price too.
M14 if shooting at range. Do NOT get an M14 for hunting unless you are built like Schwartzenegger. It is too heavy to lug around in the forest.
Although the Remington semi and pump are very similar, the pump is deadly accurate. The semi shoots patterns, not groups.
I have both, and love the pump. Out shoots most bolt rifles, out of the box.
of course, i'll have to disagree with you there- i've hunted with one most of my life, both isreali and norc, but i use a m-60 sling rigged fore and aft to distribute the weight- all up , with bipod and scope, it runs pretty close to 12 pounds- the 60 used run 22 or so- the "problem" if there is one, is not the weight, but the inability to handle 180 grain slugs- which is my go-to round-and jungle terrain is a lot more taxing than forest

While I admit that I am a physical specimen resembling a Greek God, I find that my M305 is easily managable using a 3 point sling.
