Is there a semi auto for me

Got one

Well I fell into a package deal I couldn't refuse. In it was remmington 742 30-06 springer woodsmaster semi auto carbine in very minty condition. I was going to sell it off to pay for the other guns in the package but after talking to a few people I think I will be hunting with it this fall. I 'll let everyone know how it shoots at the range, it came with a brand new redfield scope unmounted , so I will put that on and sight it in ASAP.

I think there was one for sale in the EE a while back. 9.3x62.

Sweet mother of god...what IS that? It has the lines of a sauer....but a semi?

That has to be one of the most beautiful creations I have ever seen (except for the jeweled bolt.....)

Do tell :)

I am an R1 owner in 300 win mag, should have been a 308, and love every shot I have ever taken with it. It is top of the food chain as far as I am concerned. It comes synthetic stock or wood. I went wood as hunting temp's can be pretty chilly and the synthetic pulls the heat out of my hands faster IMO.

I don"t get EE ?

The only one you need to worry about is the Benelli R1 all the others are simply a step down....there is one for sale in the EE right now good price too.

When I go to EE it's marked private and there is nothing there to see ???? Am I too much of a Newbie or what *&*&^^$%@ ?

I have a BAR in 338 win mag it shoots awesome bought it in 05 shot 14 big game with it.It will shoot clover leafs at 200yrds.And with the boss on it reduses the recoil as well as shoots every bullet type.I have used the xlc coated barnes bullets in 225 and 185 gr bt.They have performed perfect. This gun never jams I loved it so much i bought my dad a bar for fathers day.And now my younger bro bought a bar safari mk11 mine is the mk 11 with the aluiminum reciever and both brothers and dads is the safari mk 11, honestly after the scopes on you cant feel the diff in wieght.Any how a browning is the only semi i would even consider.

Rem 750

I must admit I really like the looks of the Remington 750, just looks like it would be a nice classic rifle. Has anyone given the 750 a good workout yet? Are they just as bad as their previous models (742,7400)?

I think the 750 in 30-06 would be a nice bush gun for big game? Any thoughts?

Semi's are used lots by guys who don't have the mental faculties to work a bolt or lever under pressure. Not that I have anything against them, just the people who think they have to have one for follow-up shots. Even a fair rifleman can put just as many aimed shots through a bolt or lever gun as elmer fudd who's semi magnum blaster comes out 1 week before the season for "sight in" then goes back in the closet till next year.
