is there anyway i can get a hand on fn ps 90

Sxyglock, what's the deal? I think you got the first one last summer. I go away for the winter, now it's impossible? What happened?

It seems like everyone's posting with the idea that it's a slim possibiliity, but after five pages no-one's mentioned why.

Because you live in Canada.

So what's the issue?!
Previous ones have been registered by CFC and have a FRT number (I assume). Therefore aren't they perfectly legal to import?

I guess since US law was broken I can expect this thread to be locked and everyone banned for talking about it?...:runaway:

The issue is they are not exportable from the US except to MIL/LEO end users. Since the semi auto model isn't made in Belgium, we can't get them from there.

Uhm -- because it was exported Illegally -- and CFC being the incompetant ####sticks that they are registered it -- making them party to an offence -- so of course they will ignore that bit.

Canadian law what a farce.

I talked to the Crown, and the Minister of Justice, and no US export issues will be involved in the case. The guns are already in Canada, so that's the only issue.

If you can say, what issues are stopping them from being registered? AP ammo issue?

I believe the issue at hand is that the CFC screwed up. They don't allow phone verification of restricted. However, in this case they did. After the guns were registered, they turned around and revoked the registration certificates because they were verified over the phone.

i beleive the issue is that in canada 5.7x28 is considered armor piercing pistol ammo, therefore it and any gun that fires it is considered prohibited

Look above your post. Canuck223 has laid the matter out very succinctly.

Thank you, Canuck and Kevin B. Now, at least, I'm on the same page as y'all.

Ask me by PM after July 5th. I got a crap load of em sitting in customs :(. Needless to say there ain't gonna be any more in Canada unless I can convince FN in Belgium to make some semi auto ones.

Kwonnypooh,
Might be a good idea to wait until after this case is resolved before considering buying any that you see for sale privately.
