Is there such thing as a .22 black rifle?

Black rifle forum is on snobby side I agree. Not entirely but it is there. Mixed with a touch of errogancy. Why? Not one over there ever interested how accurate his black spetsnaz moddafokka rifle is. I never got educated comment or advice overthere. I also got an impression most black gun owners like their toys for how they look.

You are correct on some points. There are plenty of shooters in general on this site that qualify as "posers" in my opinion. Those who are only interested in how their toys look at the range would be some of them. Accuracy and the pursuit of accuracy are not necessarily the goal of black rifle shooters. Accuracy is still important and should not be over looked. For those who participate in the action sports such as three gun, there is no need for a .25 MOA accurate rifle. Hence the popularity of ergonomic high capacity(well they used to be) semi auto rifles. The inherent accuracy is more than adequate for the intended purpose. Speed plays a greater role than accuracy.

An AR15 that starts life as an AR15 is a black rifle. The addition of a sub cal kit or dedicated upper doesn't change the original status of the rifle. The R22 started life as a rimfire rifle, therefore it belongs in the rimfire forum. Just my opinion. I'm not sure what the "rules" are regarding proper classification for the forums.

I'd say the Ar10 belongs in the black rifle thread. Removable magazine, synthetic furniture and generally smaller in dimensions than traditional battle rifles. I guess it could go either way.

Umm...whats the point of a 5 round neutered C7/M16 wannabe?...To shoot paper (And the LCF). Same reason I bought my AR-15, to shoot paper and put soccer moms into cardiac arrest :D

Thats just like asking "whats the point of puting a stevens in a fancy laminate stock? Isn't that kinda like putting a 5000 dollar stereo in a 500 dollar civic ?" :)

I'm pretty sure the paper can't tell wether it has .221 or .223 holes in it...but the bank account sure can.

I'm pretty sure once you get past 75 yards the paper can tell the difference between .22lr and .223.......:)
IMHO all rimfires should be in the rimfire forum, just makes sense.....an Erma M1 carbine .22lr mess should be in rimfire, not battlerifles or milsurp.....same for the Krinker, R22, etc etc

Quote Xman"The Armi Jager & Mitchell M-16 look alikes were originally classified as restricted due to their cosmetic similarity to the AR-15/M-16. However, since neither shares anything remotely similar to the AR-15 operating system and there is no interchangeability of parts, that classification was successfully challenged and they were re-classified as non-restricted"End quote

I wish someone would tell the CFC about this. Makes perfect sense. It took two years to get my restricted registration for my ap74 because they thought it was a pistol(and they still don't know what it is). As for what's black and what's not I'd say if it shoots a .22 then it's a .22.. Believe me I wouldn't be lugging the Armi Jager off to war. 200 yards flat to the target, now that's a black rifle! And if you think everybody is a snob over there on BR, then possibly you might be caliber challenged:rolleyes:. Here's a picture of my .22

I'm new to the world of .22lr Black Rifles, know absolutely nothing about them but know that I like what I've seen in this thread. If I was interested in getting one where would I shop for one? Does someone sell them complete?
Sorry if I'm hi-jacking....
