One of the things I find myself doing during the powder shortage is shooting more, because I stocked up a few years back.

If I hadn't, I would be casting boolits and using whatever creative loads are available based on the powder out there. It's actually fun and as I get older I start to appreciate sitting on the porch more, wearing leather gloves and melting lead until the sun goes down

Not sure on Varget as I don’t use it. At the Consort show a dealer had a couple hundred pounds of powder, most was $60 lb. He did a lot of sales. I sold a 5 lb of trail boss for $250.

I don't get why you guys up north are getting such a powder shortage. I live in the US in the north east and we have never been without powder. Yes the shelves are lean and you can't always get what you want. Went to a store yesterday and Hodgdon 4350 on the shelf at $40.99 about 6 bottles I didn't need any so left it there. Same with projectiles, most brands in stock but not every style or weight. The big problem is still primers, LR can be found at $100 a brick but SR and SP are nowhere to be found. I don't trust any government and think they are going backdoor gun control by pricing the sport out and you guys are the first target.

Think about it. If YOUR shelves are lean due to all the new shooters and Biden hoarders, and since American companies keep the bulk of their product in country for American purchase, how much leftover product do you think a foreign markets going to get?
