We are AT WAR with muslim extremists right now, so damn yer feelings. :ar15:

We're at war with a lot of people right now, some of whom are extremist muslims, doesn't really justify being a #### to all muslims in my opinion.

Anyway, no desire to argue about it, so I'll say no more, I just think it's in really poor taste, but at least if I saw it on someone's rifle, it would save me having to talk to them to identify them as a ####.

Would you be offended if you seen this on an AR-15 or would you want it?

I guess it all depends on whether the owner of that gun bought it to shoot paper or Muslims... ;) If that gun will be seeing action overseas, then sure why not. But if it is a range gun, then it's still not offensive; it just reeks of poser... But maybe that's just me. Others may feel otherwise. :)

Well put. Additionally, just because we're fighting people who are mostly muslims doesn't mean we're fighting them because they're muslims. This is a very important distinction that we need to make because if we don't, it allows them to pretend that this is a religious war. It isn't.

If this was supposed to be going on a gun overseas, I'd be even more pissed off. Because that person would be hurting our war effort with their selfish, immature "joke".

I guess there isn't enough room for "Take that, you piece of paper, printed from a free website, with your concentric circles, and arbitrary points values" :)

I do like the "Prepare to Meet Thy Maker" - shouldn't offend anyone.

Ahha... that there made me laugh pretty hard.

As a side note, the "Ticket To Allah" cover isn't racist, it's just in poor taste (I personally find it hilarious, but in bad taste nonetheless). Muslim is NOT a race. Sure, a lot of Arabic folks are muslim, but in fact, calling all people of Arabic descent Muslim is in itself racist.

Who cares. The people who would be offended don't want other citizens to be able to own firearms or be free to make their own decisions anyway.

quote from main page:

CGN will not tolerate any activities or speeches, that make our members, which could be of any "race, national or ethnic origin, colour, religion, ###, age or mental or physical disability" feel unwelcomed in our online community. We embrace all Canadians that believe in ownership and legal usage of firearms.

If you do not agree to this principle, you shall turn around and leave now.

Just enjoy shooting paper/gongs whatever... stop pretending that your AR15 is going to kill Muslims/Arab's because its not... and five or ten rounds semi auto inst going to do sh*t in a war zone anyway lol :runaway:

I think folks on both sides of the argument ought to chill a little - the writing is, yes, in poor taste but it is also kinda funny. Would I have it on one of mine ? No, I wouldn't but if I saw it on someone else's rifle I wouldn't make any judgement about them as a person either. Sure, Anti-Gun types will leap all over this kinda stuff but, heck, they ain't likely to be less offended if ya painted it rainbow and stuck smiley faces all over it.

People have a hard time laughing at themselves these days. I was working with a guy that was 1/4 Cree and someone made a native joke and he got offended, but he had no problem making fun of me with my 1/4 Italian background. Happens all too often in too many cases. Just laugh it off and move on with life. Has anybody else noticed that the funniest jokes are of the worst taste. Just because you crack a joke, doesn't mean you actually believe. You just say it and laugh at it for the sake of humour. And we all know humour is good for you, so let's all put on a smile and keep on laughing.

Sure, its politically incorrect and it can be seen as offensive, but its a free country, full your boots.

But I'm pretty sure paper isn't inherently Muslim so aside from the "because I can" factor, it pretty much only serves to promote a political message akin to "from my cold dead hands" or "don't tread on me". If that is what you feel like doing, I'm not gonna stop you.

I don't think any self-respecting soldier would or could put that on their service rifle though... the only place in which that item would be applicable beyond the abstract.
