It is a great contraption for the shooting challenged.

After having some lack of success with the program and getting discouraged and ready to try something else. Got palying with it a bit and found that I was using the default G1 ballistics. Started plugging in G7 after all the reading of Mysticplayer praising Brian Litz`s G7 ballistics and wow, what a difference.

First trial was using factory Hornady Match in 308. Was able to hit on my first shot at 500 yard steel ram. Kinda left me inspired.

Second trial was using my 223 and 2 different boxes of factory ammo. First shot was on at 500 yards. Based on Isnipe, dialed back to 300 yard steel and hits again. First shot. Switched to another box of 223 and did the same from 500 yards back to 300 yards.

All first shot hits.

This is why I bought the program. I have a wackload of factory match ammo to try out and don`t want to waste it building up to 1,000 yards. When the ground dries out, I will set up at 1,000 yards and try again.

Keep in mind that this will get you on target. But you will have to fine tune when you get it there. And the tough part was getting it there.

Pretty damn good for an application that cost $5.99 designed by a Canadian.

Used on an Apple Iphone or an Ipod Touch.

The fella who created the program was asked about Blackberry compatibility and I think he said he would have to completly re work the program.

The Ipod Touch would work aswell. Only would be missing the atmosheric conditions. Was gonna go this route myself untill the wife got me an early Christmas present. An Iphone.

I just bought an Ipod touch just to use this program. I haven't had a chance to shoot with it yet, but I have played around with it and I am impressed. Quite easy to use and well laid out. Good to hear it works well. Also a huge bonus that it uses the Litz data.

Thanks for the awesome field test Max - I look forward to hearing how everything performs out to 1000yards =)

Just a quick correction for yukoncoyote, the Litz data is not yet included in iSnipe - I have spoken with Brian and received permission to use his data, which I will be doing in the next major version, which is still in development.

There are a few other highly requested features that will be included in that release as well - but as usual, if you guys have any requests or find any bugs don't hesitate to PM me.

The most popular would likely be http://www.jbmballistics.com, which produces results nearly identical to iSnipe using proper G7 B.C's.

I also have a very basic version of the iSnipe ballistic engine in a Web App that was created before iSnipe had even begun - http://nobal.webdiligence.ca. Though, JBM offers a more robust set of inputs.

Wow, I did not know the creator of Isnipe is on CGN.
I also use this program on my Iphone. and I love it. Best program out there for the price. Thanks Bcode. even better its Canadian...:canadaFlag:

I was having a hell of a time with isnipe when I first purchased it. Nothing but problems. Nothing worked. All of my data imputed shot me out some stupid rediculous numbers that didn't match. The gps locator function didn't work so I couldn't upload my weather. I remember sending him a message through Apple to get him going on some of the G7 ballistics. Then, a few weeks later, voilĂ !! Update came out with the gps fixed and G7 inputs. After a bit of tinkering with the sight height, I was shooting at 660 and 900 on rocks with first shot hits. I was only able to shoot 2 at 900 cause I ran out of ammo. It works GREAT now.

I have been looking at isnipe and wonderin if it was worth it, sure looks like it now so ill be tryin it out next time at the range

Hussar, I don't currently have sabot slugs in the database, as they are notoriously hard to track down - I will do some asking around to see what I can come up with for the next release though.

I already tested this out to 1600 meters... works great when you have all of you data... first hit all the time

I have Bullet Flight. Have only played with it and never shot with it, yet. First impression is it's tough to figure out. I don't even play with it. But I should to at least see how it does.

Bullet Flight is as easy as tying your laces (assuming that you can tie your laces) :p

It looks tough at first glance, but it is super straight forward...

Calculate Ballistics, Range Card and Calculate Simple (in the main screen) all do the same thing - they just do it in a different fashion. Having said that, if you enter info in one of the three, it changes them all!

Also, in the scroll-down menu in the main screen, if you are shooting 168 Amax (.308) and you change all the settings for that round (like temp/humidity/baro press, etc...) and you decide to change to a different round, like the 175 gr SMK (.308), the atmospheric settings will stay as they were entered in the previous screen. Awesome!!

If you need help setting it up PM me and I can run you through it.

The only thing that the iPhone can do in iSnipe, that the iPod Touch cannot, is use the Range Finder feature - as it lacks a camera.

Additionally, an iPhone has access to cellular internet, so it's possible to retrieve weather data when you don't have WiFi available.

Otherwise, they function exactly the same, with the iPod Touch running slightly faster than an iPhone (due to the lack of extra hardware to run).
