Hi, I was just wondering if you guys can get the shorter barrel for the mk22? If so can you give some details on it? All I can find is that its out there somewhere... Does it still use a shroud or is it a real bull barrel?

Will using it make the rifle need the stock pinned for legality issues?

Thanks.

It looks like 765mm oal with the stock collapsed, and 300mm barrel.
Folding the stock is -203mm.
Pinning the stock would keep it in spec.

I'm becoming more interested by the minute!!!

is it still NR with the 12"?

Only if you pin the stock so that it is no longer able to fold. Barrel length laws do not apply to rimfire rifles. Overal length laws, however, do apply. Neat fact... Barrel length laws do not count flash hiders, etc. as part of the barrel's length. Overall length laws make no such exemption.:dancingbanana:

I'd buy a 12 inch barrel version...

VS what we are used to...

I have multiple MK22's all are non threaded barrel, I assume all in Canada are non threaded.
It's a very easy mod to shorten it. The sleave (where the supressor threads in) can be cut just as fast and no rethread required
if you cut at the rear end.

Has anyone thought about the rate of twist used on the factory barrel? What is it? And if you cut it down will you render it useless?

Incorrect, muzzle devices are NOT included in OAL measurement, just as they are not inluded in barrel measurements.

You are incorrect . I've personally talked to the RCMP about this and was told a threaded muzzle device that is on tight is fine and adds to OAL but NOT barrel length
