I wasn't sure if I was going to like this rifle, but it was a surprisingly large amount of fun. Skipping bullets off the water with it to hit my target was lots of fun too. ;-)

Love mine.....accurate as hell with a 4 power fixed tactical scope....feeds everything well except Winchester bulk 222, 333, 555. with cci minimags there are no ftf or fte.

I had a gen 1 that was absolutely useless. Sent it to North Sylva for the upgrade, and now it's absolutely fantastic. As reliable as my 10/22 and as stated, surprisingly accurate even with just a red dot on it. Never thought I would love this rifle after my first impressions.
My Anschutz version is a lemon. Getting some new bolt carrier screws from rrages so that I can take down the bolt myself. I find that after about 200 rounds it's hit or miss as to whether or not it'll function properly and therefore needs to be cleaned. Wish someone would design a way simpler bolt/carrier for this gun. Would solve most of its problems for good.
Do you take apart the bolt to clean it? Or just leave it in the bolt carrier?
Usually use some sort of gun solvent to clean the bolt and breech face (with a nylon brush etc) and then a bit of oil to lubricate the moving parts in the bolt carrier. I have some foaming barrel cleaner (wipeout?) that works well enough. Going to take down my bolt to give it a better clean once i get these better screws for the carrier. The ones that come with the rifle are cheap and easy to strip regardless of whether or not it's an Anschutz or ISSC.
I have to agree about the screws...are there aftermarkets available or are you thinking of just matching them up at a fastener specialty store?
I used to have an MK22 (newer rear bolt design), loved the gun but the design is horrid...
Some of my bolt carrier screws were stripped before i even disassembled it. I got replacements and used blue loctite as a precaution so they wouldn't come loose. I also picked up replacement machine screws from Lowe's for the rails as they stripped as well but they were pan heads not flat.
Not sure why they used machine screws for everything as they strip really easy and that clam shell bolt is not fun to disassemble lol.
I ordered both the pushpins that keep the upper and lower as well as the screw set.. from
h ttp://rrages.com/root/screw/index.htm
I emailed them before hand to ensure that they would send to Canada as they are an american company.

Hey guys. New to the group. Got an ISSC the other day second hand, looks like it's never been cleaned. Shoots like a dream, obviously the odd FTE but other than that not much. Pulled it apart and scrubbed the crud out of it.
Having an issue with the bolt lock, when the mag is empty the bolt/charging handle fails to lock open. Found the pivoting arm in the mag well and it works, just not sure if the problem is the chaser on the mag or the pivoting arm itself.
