Issues with fellow CGN'er

I have bought & sold to many.A few were slow in sending or paying for items.
Just did a deal with a Newbi & all was smooth,I left him his #1 feedback.:D DAN>>>

Once here I trusted my secretary to send money to a member. I eventually fired her and I had to send the money out myself but the member was unfortunately forced to wait. Sometimes stuff happens. Good communication is key.
Don't know if this is the place to bring it up, but here it goes.
I am attempting to purchase a rifle from a chap on here who's trader rating is in the mid twenties and all feedback is good.
I was looking for a specific rifle in a specific calibre. He PM'd me that he had one and gave me the price. I agreed @ 5pm. @ 9am the next day he was looking for payment details ASAP. Later that day, within 24 hours of committing to buy, I did the EMT and payment received on his end. Now going on 5 days later, no rifle, no transfer info. Just a message from him last week that he was busy and was going to try to call the CFC.
Am I getting paranoid, or does this deserve more patience on my part?

That sounds pretty familiar....I gave a rifle away for free here once, including shipping. The only stipulation was that it goes to a currently serving CF member who had an interest in milsurp rifles and would put it to good use. Didn't mean he had to keep it forever. So I gave it to a guy from Cold Lake who pm'd me first. Well, he got it, not even a thank you (which I did not need, but would have been nice to acknowledge he got it okay) and he had it up for sale within 24 hours on the EE. Whatever, it just irked me because there were so many guys wanting this rifle, I picked the first one, and he turned it in for a fast buck. There are a few clowns out there for sure, but they are outnumbered by the decent ones 10x:)

I have never had anyone back out on a deal on the EE,but I did have one individual try some sneaky tactics to try and get me to reduce the price. He kept stalling, and feeding me concerns about the gun not fitting him,and about not being able to afford the gun because of a child going to school, and so on.I almost felt sorry for the guy,but I had already dropped my price, and was not prepared to drop it any more, since it was already very fair.We hadn't struck a deal after over a week of communications, including several messages and phone calls, when another buyer came along and offered me a better price than the first guy wanted to pay.Naturally,I sold the gun to the committed buyer. However while reading the EE only a couple of days later,I noticed a for sale add for the very same gun that I was selling, listed by the first guy that tried to buy mine.If he had the same gun,he obviously knew whether or not it fitted him.I searched his username and discovered that he had several adds for buying and selling guns,so it became obvious that he just wanted to get me to drop the price so he could buy my gun and resell it for profit.I actually had to laugh since he sounded so sincere on the phone. However if he ever answers another of my adds,I will not budge at all on my price for him.

OMFG...Are you serious????

Who IS this asshat? Tell me so I can avoid him at ALL costs!

I'd hope you left that stunt in his feedback rating.

Disgusting

The guy didn't do anything wrong, by trader standards. Lots of guys have guns sold for a profit before they even receive them. You can't really leave a negative feedback because he has no shame or honor.

I agree, he did not do anything wrong, just tasteless. Although I did ask that it goes to someone who had the milsurp interest and would put it to use. I guess he did put it to use in his own mind, fine with me LOL. I feel pretty silly even mentioning the details, but there were ALOT of really class acts who said "I am in the military and I thank you for your gesture, but there are others more deserving" and passed on it. No trader rating was left on either side, it wasn't relevant since no cash passed hands. I would not reveal who it is, as he knows, and I know. Nuff said.:)
