It is a blonde and she gorgeous....

Seriously considering ordering one in 7X57 (never owned any rifle in that legendary caliber)as they still have a couple in stock, the quality and the low price, make it a very good value, i was not expexting such a quality rifle of the bat... JP.

While I don't personally care for the full stock, I do understand the sentiment. Congratulations on your new addition.

I just picked a Zastavia up in 9.3x62, I like the feel and heft to it and the trigger, while a tich heavy, breaks very cleanly.

Called a CZ527FS, your search is over. :) Better quality rifle than a Zastava as well.

Ardent,

you dont like the Zastava due one bad experience but that doesnt mean with some love that those rifles are working well not the best looking on a synthetic stock but that JP mannlicher stock is exactly what has been used for centuries in Europe now and works great with open sights and even an optic ....

JP btw very nice looking rifle ...

While filling up my papers for a non-resident shooting club member in Aix-en Profence near my house in Cannes, i was wondering wich rifle i would bring in Europe if i am allowed to, i will bring my 308 Manlicher Zastava 308, a caliber known but seldom seen in the Olds countrys... JP.

JP,

nice try but 308 is still in 1ere there so no way unless you re going to a competition ... the 308 is well used by french neighbours but Inside not well known ...

there s talks about new law on calibers this coming september but i wont hold my breath on the 308 ...

You are right my demand will be study, since i own a house down, they are looking for some luppholes in the law, should have their decision when i will go back in September, is it doesnt work to take one of mine, they offer a rental service in the club, a story to follow... JP.

You will be able to use your Mannlicher as a target rifle, but if you ever decide to get your hunters licence and go hunting, you will have to get a rifle in a non-military caliber to do so.

Nice rifle BTW, must be a real beast in 6.5x55.

Ive opened this thread about 5 or 6 times now to drool over the OP's "new blonde", she's a beaut! Ive been dreaming about a lefty in 9.3 ever since.

To those with manlicher zastava's, is the front of the stock darker wood or is it a steel protector?? The finish and fitting actually looks pretty good, tho lumber isnt exotic, but it looks like it has enough charachter to appreciate and still be taken out of the safe, kind of a good balance in my eyes.

Definately feel free to post more pictures!

The front is a steel protector and it is free floated as a bonus, the whole barrel is free floated... JP.
