Well, after missing two offhand shots at a coyote yesterday with my heavy barrelled rifle, and putting my record to 0 for 5 this year.I opted to go to the sporter weight model 70 in 264WM.

I finally connected on a ##### this morning at 143 yds using factory 100g PSP's.
My area is just lousy with coyotes as I seen 6 last night on a hillside, about 700yds from me,running around playing and posturing.I also seen two more(driving home that pissed off when I stopped) this morning after I took this ##### that BTW weighed in at 33.6 lbs (used a berkley digital fish scale)
Hopefully I can connect on afew more, 1 for 6 is no hell!

About twenty feet inside the treeline at the end of the bloodtrail.
And yes Bill there is something about the 264,Not sure what, but I should have went to it in the first place.
This one dropped like a used condom to a 264.Recognize the rifle? Thanks Fog.Get your ass down here and help me out!

I love shooting the .264 Win Mag and the only thing better than seeing a scared ####less coyote take off with his tail between his legs is seeing one drop after I squeeze the trigger off :D :D :D .

Although this one and his buddy(not in picture) and one of the antelope all went down to a .338 Lapua, the .264 kicks ass for this type of hunting.

The .264 WM is leaning on the ass of the antelope on the right (Dad was using it on this trip).

I've missed several shots at much shorter ranges this year and didnt think my chances would be any better.:)Also they were on a known "tree huggers" property.Had I actually hit one (which is unlikely)chances of wounding it are pretty good (I had the 250 with me)In the event that I actually killed one(even less likely) I would like to recover it and dont really need any hassles.I did consider it,but thought better of it.
Most of the landowners/farmers in the area are really great about hunting (especially coyotes) and gladly allow you on to their property,in fact, just this afternoon I dropped into a place where I have seen several(coyote),to ask for permission and the landowner told me to "POP em" ! I'm heading there in the morning (after I get off work)
I've got the 264 locked up in the truck.;)

Well, they are starting to come now.
Called this blonde ##### in this morning and dropped her at 237yds,she never took a step.Looks like maybe I'll stick with the 264.(100g PSP)NAW,I have to bust the cherry on that 22-250 sometime.
