Is this guy for real?

All I can say is...... "Thank God he doesn't live in Quebec!!"

I do'nt believe that any of you understands the legal implications in posting a pictures of that gentleman and accusing him for a unproven criminal act.

These fine pages should never be used for this kind of nasty smear campaigne against any canadian citizen.

Go to police with the picture and your claim of "trespassing", and please remove the picture, until you have a legal judgment and a permission of a judge to post your "criminal" in these fine pages.

If his lawyer(s) finds out that you accused this gentleman for being a criminal and in fact posted a picture of him as such in these fine pages, it will ruin your life as you know it now.

You are violating his canadian civil and human rights, and when he finds out, he will sue you for everything you own. If he in any way are harmed because of your posting and picture and unproven claims that he is criminal, you will also lose your rights to own guns.

I will not warn you again. I hope you find find out who this gentleman is, because you are going to make him very rich.

You might therefore regret many times that you posted this "criminal", whose canadian civil and human rights you have seriously violated in doing so.....

eek!

Maybe this guy should go back to school & learn to spell properly !!!

How do we know for shure that the this picture and story is what is described ? Are we being told the truth ? Does the author of the pictures already know this individual and want to harm him ? Are we being used by this individual to harm this person on the picture ?

Jumping to the wrong conclusion is far to easy, when we get emotional.

These fine pages should never be used in this illegal and dirty manner , by going after individuals, as if they had committed a crime, and convicted as such, before they have been charged or faced a judge.

Looks to much like internet hate crime to me, in which there are very strong canadian laws against. You are risking of recieving a heavy fine for posting this picture and slander about this person, as well as opening a "mother of all law suits" from this person in the picture against you as well as against CanadianGunNutz.

We should all be responsible gun owner, respecting all canadian laws.

You are harming the image of law arbiding canadian gun owners, by posting this picture of this gentleman, in these otherwise fine page, and falsely claiming he is a criminal.

Actually, I enjoy Quebec so much, that I often been considering to live there :)

I find the Notre Dame in Montreal facianting, as well as the old Montreal. Have you been to the lights show there ?

Quebec City is very special, and destinctively different. The food in Montreal always impresses me. Always enjoy walking down the St. Cathrine street and the whole underground system of shops :)

Also, I do'nt see anything wrong by warning a fellow Gunnutz about the legal and costly entangelment for him, for accusing a person for being a criminal in these otherwise fine pages. I do'nt believe these fine pages should be used this was.

Well, the east-west differences also showed up in this debate. In B.C., 95 % of the land is Crown Land, and the opposite might be the case in Ontario/Quebec ? Therefore it is easier to get emotional about this private "land baron mentality" in Ontario/Quebec :)

I never need to hunt or trespass private land to cover all my hunting need in British Columbia.

Well, I am glad that I can keep you entertained, and sorry for my spelling. English is not a laguage that was spoken in my home, and I am still learning this great language to perfection. I do speak few other languages, which you might not understand, unless you had few "Cuba Libres" or "Akvavit" :)

I think you have a pretty well grounded base for the accusation you make of the guy in the photo. I can't believe Snowhunter shamed you into taking it down. I posted pictures of a guy I caught on camera egging our house, and he was man enough about it to come over, apologize, and clean up the mess. I don't think there's any reasonable expectation of privacy for an individual who trespasses. If he doesn't like that word being applied to him, he should read up in a dictionary what it means, and stay the hell off other peoples land.

Grouse Man, although I have a great dislike for the norwegian contribution to the world cusine, the lutefish, I can speak and read norwegian.

However, I have a very different taste in norwegian women :)

I am a land owner and I too have the same problems with people who simply can't read!!! I have signs posted at every entrance/trail to my property and for some reason after 2 years of asking people "do you not see the signs?" I am just about ready to go postal on the next individual who dares to do so.

I was sprayed with pellets this spring from a shotgun when some A$$ knew but also denied that he knew he was trespassing during the turkey season. I should have called the cops and kicked his ass, but I didn't and I made it quite clear that if he ever came back he will regret it. Snowhunter you my friend are a fine piece of work. I think you should do us all a favour and stay in BC and never venture any farther east :).

Hey sms000, do not blame me, living in B.C., for someone shooting you with shootgun pellets in Ontario. Sounds like to many hunters and not enough land to hunt in Ontario ?

Hope the gun was registered :)

Yes, it is clearly a problem of, too many "Land Barons", not letting the proletariat hunt wherever they want...right snowhunter?

The problem is people who try to justify to themselves that trespassing is OK...they won't get caught....right?

If the guy has no way of getting on the land without seeing the post's he deserves to be posted as a criminal. If he found some way on the land without seeing the sign he should apoligize for entering without permission and not do so again.

My apologies to you Ontario/Quebec hunters/landowners.

I have wrongly compared "apples with oranges", like the hunting conditions in B.C. and Ontario/Quebec.

I can understand the landowners frustration in keeping out hordes of hunters out of their private land, as well as for the hunters who get tempted to hunt prime private hunting land, and hoping to get away with it.

However, I feel, for several reasons, it is a wrong approach to start to post pictures of "criminals" in these fine pages, who might innocently have drifted into private land. Even if these individual, on purpose trespassed and hunted your private land, you have no right to post their picture as wanted "criminals" in these fine pages.

Two wrongs, does not make it right. I personally doubt that any police departments will react seriously to such pictures. To difficult to prove, contest and very time consuming. Police has more important things to do.

By posting these unproven and undcontested "criminals", vigilante style, in these fine pages, you set yourself up for a very serious moneytary law suits from such "criminals", who can easily gain the legal upper hand against you, because you started to use vigilante justice, which are a criminal act in this, and most other countries.

Therefore, by posting pictures of your trespassing "criminal" in these fine pages, you yourself becomes a bona fide criminal, who violate this trespassers canadian human and civil rights, and thus open your bank account or will be forced to take a bank loan, using your land as colateral, in order to pay for this "trespassing criminal" in damages, minimum $ 25.000 plus lawyer fee's as well as a hefty fine for having violated another canadians human and civil rights. If he is injured in the process, it will cost you even more, and the sky will be the limit for his legal claims against you.

Make sure your private property is clearly marked and posted, and call police if your private property has been violated by trespasser. Write down their license numbers.

snowhunter, you really should quit before you get further behind.
As a hunter, the onus is on you to know where you are, whether it be what WMU you are hunting in or on private property or not.
"Ooops, I can't read a map" is not a defense. Does not matter if land is posted or not.
Based on what you have posted, you don't own a damn thing, hell you probably wouldn't care if someone came into the trailer you rent and started eating food out of your fridge.

Therefore, by posting pictures of your trespassing "criminal" in these fine pages, you yourself becomes a bona fide criminal

Well...now you have called me a criminal. A libelous act, in and of itself. And I will not tolerate it.

You had best retract that statement, and edit your post, or be prepared for the consequences. I kid you not.

Gonna lock this thread down, it really isn't heading in any positive direction for the last few pages anyways.

Snowhunter, alot of what you said is walking a fine line on trolling so I'll warn you now to lay low cause now you've got the mods attention.

No reason to p.m. me and explain anything, just think twice about how you reply to threads from now on.

Nuff said.
