It's that time of year...

If that happened to me I'd print 1000 fliers with the scumbag's picture on it and hire a couple of kids to go staple them around town.

I don't think it would take long to find out who it was.

Then publicly hang him!;)

Snowhunter, CGN's resident legal scholar and champion speller, public defender of the poor and downtrodden, dispenser of sage advice...............:p

Such a fine career, and him almost sixteen years old already!

What a hogshead of codswallop, first we get the rant about "high and mighty land barons" or whatever inane drivel, and now we are getting patently false legalistic piffle from some pinhead that evidently does not believe in the CANADIAN system of PRIVATE LAND OWNERSHIP, and FREE TITLE to private property, and the RIGHTS of landowners. As I already said, the place where such views may be welcome would be the NDP website, not here.

Beefman, do you not own a dog or three that could put the chase to these louts?

Doug

hey guys, let's not get crazy here! If it were my property, and I saw this guy on it, i would confront him and let him know that he is on my property. If he kept coming back, then i would give him a second warning. the third would be calling the police. maybe the guy is mentally ill, who knows. let's not be too harsh. of course, i can't tell anyone what to do with their property.

Seeing as how he used the word 'slander' to describe written utterances rather than 'libel' leads me to believe snowhunter isn't a lawyer.

Bwaaahaaaahaaaaahaaaahaaaaahaaaaahaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ROTFLMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Time of the year for the "mighty and rich land barons mentality" people, to get hyper and go on sick power trips and hunt and chase shadows of "bad" people off their land.

So what are you going to do when you find out who he is ? How can you prove this this chunk of land is your ? It's looks like any other piece of forrest anywhere. He might very well succesfully sue you for harrasments by jumping the gun, and claim that this particular piece of land is yours. Is is fenced and posted properly ? Or has he just innocently lost his way ?

I will advice you to remove this picture and unproven claim that this gentleman is "trespassing". If any harm comes his way due to his picture is posted by you, and your (false) claim that he is a criminal, you could lose a lots of money in damages, you would have to pay him and his family. This picture you have posted, and unproven claims against this gentleman in this picture can ruin your life. If he is harmed any way, because of your posting, you would, among others, lose your rights to own guns.

Glad that British Columbia is 95 % Crown Land :)

That advice is almost as bad as snowhunter's. There are far too many cases of rural people finding illegal grow-ops to take the chance of dicking around with people who are walking through your bush lot uninvited. Let the cops know and have them sort it out if necessary.

i did not know that grow-ops were such a problem in rurals, specially if someone were to grow on my land, i think i would know about it, but he has 350 acres, i guess it would be pretty hard to find out.

sorry for that bad advise guys. I stand corrected.

Same troubles Beefy, and now that you pegged one that nice with a trail cam I think I know what I am going to ask Santa for!

I have a hundred less acres to worry about and the forward contracted beans would be somebody elses, which is worse. And if my brood of black ladies ( cows ) decided to stroll into a corn patch because some turd cut a fence or left a gate open, I might end up losin them all.

There is a real sense of community around here, and strangers can expect a LOT of attention. But even so there are locals that don't give a crap, and need the odd, shall we say lesson.

Oh, snowhunter, look up Nigerian fraud/scam on google, your typing style reminds me of those folks. Quite comical.

How do we know for shure that the this picture and story is what is described ? Are we being told the truth ? Does the author of the pictures already know this individual and want to harm him ? Are we being used by this individual to harm this person on the picture ?

2. You are harming the image of law arbiding canadian gun owners, by posting this picture of this gentleman, in these otherwise fine page, and falsely claiming he is a criminal.

#1. You must have smoked too much of what this guy is looking for. :onCrack:

#2. I will say AGAIN...I never claimed he was a criminal...that would require him breaking a section of the CC of C.
Which he did not. Trespass is a Provincial offence (Trespass to Property Act)

Pictures have been removed because they are being forwarded to the OPP and MNR pending investigation. GPS co-ord's and County maps ready to go.

Doug...this is WAY back in the bush...dog wouldn't see or hear him. :(
But the bull is loose up there, and he can be a little ornery at times. :)

If that gentleman on the picture finds out he has been posted as a criminal is these fine pages, he could go to a lawyer and then sue you for damages.

My guess is that he will eventually recieve minimum $ 25.000 + legal expenses, as well as that the "landowner" might recieve a hefty fine for posting the picture, which by now easyly be labeled as hate crime.

If you by went to police with the picture of this "criminal" on "your land", they will laugh at you and refuse you police services...

Is that why you posted the picture in these fine pages, because the police told you, that police has more important work to do than believing fairy tales :)

I should not allow other person's stupidity to get me riled up, it is bad for my blood pressure.....

You are living in a dream-world...and watch to much American TV.

Are you up-set because condone his actions?

Oh...and "gentleman" don't trespass...they ask permission to enter private property. ;)

When the genlteman on the picture finds out about the slander about him in these otherwise fine pages, he might sue for damages, and be prepared to loose lots of $$$ to him, lawyers and court cost.

It defies common sense to post this kind of slander, let alone defending it :)

TRUTH is always the best defense in a slander lawsuit. :)

There are a number of identifying characteristics in the photo which can be used to determine the exact location.
So it's not just my word alone, that place this person clearly on PRIVATE property.

More trail-cams have been added to the property...so let's see if we can get him again.

how much are those trail cams? great quality pics! i'm guessing they are wireless right? please let me know, i would like to get a couple for my 1/1000000000 of an acre property :)
