Agreed, from a couple weeks ago we hit a low of -37 one morning, and gorgeous out. You'll never see clearer air than a crisp calm -40 morning, it takes your breath away and not from just the cold.

It's getting close to frost the past few night here . My corn experiment might be a fail. My carrots are ready tho
The latest braided egg loaf comin' out of the oven..

and his lovely bear-hunting wife to join us for surf and turf dinner.
Everything on the table came from our garden, the water, or the bush; caribou backstrap, honey-glazed broiled salmon steaks, potatoes, cauliflower, peas, and coleslaw. Well, the apples in the slaw are from BC, and the cheese as well, but you get the idea.
It's tough living in the North!

Did okay. The picture is not the best, camera on hood of truck, but you get the idea.
Ended up going out alone. Very windy, so tucked into a little bay where I have never fished before, and iced ten nice Poor Man's Lobster in less than two hours.
