I would be concerned if it was 24 in the mountains in October. 13 here today. O degrees at elevation when a system blew through. Wouldn't change a thing!+24 here![]()

Sure is the Wheaton, past the bridge though. Easy crossing just upstream, less than halfway up the truck doors. Snow was coming down at the upper reaches of the trails today. A tough life indeed!

The meat is way darker, and the texture is a bit different! Taste wise I like them, but it is more “gamy” than the ruff grouse for sure !
Sounds like the spruce grouse we have here. I don't shoot them.
