I've received my new Tavor thread.

I'm puzzled as to why there are not more guys trickling in with the "I got my tavor" announcements & posting pics...:(

I went back to the other locked thread, bigWhisky is the only person that I am aware off that posted pics of their newly delivered Tavor with the new reticle. Justins1877 posted a pic, but did not indicate that it was a newly delivered Tavor, just that it was his Tavor...

I will reiterate that I am baffled as to why we have not had at least a handfull of guys bragging about & showing pictures of their new Tavor...

I will also say that I have had two distinct levels of "service" when calling CanAm. One employee is simply rude & dismissive on the phone. I can only describe it as simular to what Julia Roberts experienced as the character in Pretty Woman when she walked into the high end clothing store on Rodeo Drive... (My wife made me watch it, I swear...) This is a fairly significant purchase for most people, I know it is for me. As others have said, a little service & UPDATES, would go a long way... I know that CanAm regularly posts "Call Us..." I have called I would describe them as mostly useless lip-service IMHO... And yes, I'm trying to see the humour in this situation, but my patience is drawing to a close & I can not think of another situation where I have paid in full in advance & put up with this much in trying to purchase a rifle.

When I get my travor, I'm going to celebrate by driving up and down main street waving and shooting it in the air so everyone can see how happy I am to have finally received it. Then I'm going to go shopping with it in my shopping cart and show it off at the mall. Then go sit on a park bench with it in my lap and give it a good polishing. Then charge into the police station screaming at the top of my lungs with joy as I show it off to them and make them jealous. then go to the military base and run through the barracks shooting it and yelling for everyone to come see my new gun. then finally go home and have dinner with my tavor on a chair across from me, then its off to bed with it all cozy and tucked in next to me. Then wake up and repeat...:dancingbanana:

ROTFL!!! this is the funniest thing I've read all week.

I've dealt with them on 4 occasions, three of the 4 were great, the best of which when I was paying my EMT's I thought...Wow; what a great bunch of guys.

The last time I was polite and the only answer I got was "NO" and a click as the receiver bounced off their phone.:eek:

I can only imagine I was the 50th person to call and inquire about if Id be seeing my Tavor by January...and haven't called since because I want them to work, and presumably when they are ready to ship they will call me.

I did however notice something new on their webpage today :

"PLEASE NOTE: PRE-ORDER ONLY. WE CANNOT GUARANTEE STOCK UNTIL AFTER ALL BACKORDERS ARE FILLED (FEB/10). "

Someone please correct me, but I don't recall the date part in there before...so maybe there is a glimmer of hope. Either way Angela Landsbury never returned my calls:mad:.
 
I am starting to wonder...

But come-on...send me an email saying the problem is (X) and I swear Ill never post another sarcastic thing about this situation.

Amen to that!

The lack of updates, the poor communications, etc
This gets people thinking and imagining things and makes the situation get worst and wost as days go by.

Here are some of the questions that start popping in my mind:
- did they actually get Tavors?
- are they on the brink of bankruptcy?
- has the T97 situation hurt their cash flow so bad that they are willing to "fake" Tavor shipments to keep afloat until this situation corrects itself?
- is there any foul play going on here or is it just incompetence?
- did I just loose ~3K$?
- will this posting make them pissed off and delay my shipment further? :eek:

We are December 69th 2009 by the way...
