The Russians won't allow the SV99 to be imported (The sniper version with the take down stock). I've already made inquiries about it a year or more ago.

Can you get the stock only I wonder ?

That's what the US guys were trying to do. I think they were also trying to make a clone stock in the US. I believe this was on Rimfire central. However last I read the project seemed to have died out. Maybe they've updated it since?

Well, if one has to do paperwork for the stock, might as well get the whole rifle?

I finally made up my mind...

I finally made up my mind, I posted the ad for my 7-2 and 7-4 on the precision rifle EE. http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=443086
For any of those that want to own these fine rifles.

I would look at a 7-4 if the back sights and front sight could be taken off.

Irish John on the RFC site has his Biathlon Basic on order from MTGuns.
Total for the Biathlon Basic, LH bolt mod, sight set and shipping in a hard case is $795, according to his post.

Sounds about right considering the price on MTGuns is:
Biathlon Basic $395
Left Hand Mod $150
Sight Set $225

I think I would go for the 7-4 as well, it is a lot of money to drop but oh, think of the fun
