So my buddy and I were at the range the other day. We have always been curious about the polymer pistols and the "limp wristing" and how much it actually effects the firearm....... so we decided to try!!!
We would only put one round in the magazine each time when trying this. Anyway long story short we fired about 10 times total limp wristing the Glock17. To our surprise, it jammed/FTE every single time, it didn't cycle properly once! We also had an M&P9 with us and tried limp wristing it about 10 times as well, it was jamming/FTE too!!
We were quite surprised that we could get the guns to jam that much. We thought maybe we would have had to "try harder" so to speak. It took little more than a light grip/limp wrist to cause the firearm to malfunction.
Don't get me wrong I'm not knocking either firearm, that's not the point here at all, I think do they are both super awesome and would recommend to anyone! We were just quite surprised at how big of an effect the limp wrist thing actually does have on the polymer framed pistol. Actually I think for a second there we were more surprised and having more fun jamming the ole Glock17 than we were trying to shoot a decent group!! And it's not that we doubted it before but it was interesting to see first hand how a "limp wristed" shooter could definitely have issues with a polymer pistol.
So Hang on tight!!!!
