Jard semi , 3wks away.

Nothing a bottle of rum won't take care of:)

Wanna bet ;)
I just came back from Wanstalls, had a look, still have my cash in pocket. I'll pass.
It's not just that it's fugly, it looks like a $400 rifle. Stamped receiver, reciprocating charge handle, rattles more than my 15,000 round XCR. The rifle is light and nicely balanced though.
Jones is at the range right now, taking some video of the rifle in action. Keep an eye on Wanstalls forum, should be updated soon.

To be honest if they made the hand guard twice as long it might be a decent rifle, But it just looks silly as is, also the rear end doesn't look nice with it rising up an inch or so after the stock, I do hope it sells though, Just not my cup of tea.

That don't sound to promising , what does a stamped receiver mean? Ugly and loose , I'm used to that , I had a XCR ...:)

hmm - would be interested in some reviews on it. Funny thing is that I bet people would be scratching at the doors if it looked better. They definitely went for function over form with the gun, so it'll need some good technical reviews to really highlight its selling points. At the moment all people see is an odd looking gun with no track record. I bet the gun would dress up nicely if someone took the time to do so.

On another note, this' an American manufacturer producing for the Canadian market. It would be in our best interests if this sold well as it would provoke other manufacturers into selling to us. Just a thought.

Its aesthetics don't bother me too much -- granted I'm only going by the pictures earlier in this thread and on Wanstalls -- but man does it grind my gears that this rifle costs $1500 and it comes with a $1 buttstock and no rail on the foregrip.

I know margins are tight and all, but if you're going to screw me, at least kiss me first.

I don't care what it looks like, long as it's reliable and shoots 1 Moa or better...

So after all this you're going to use the 1moa or better excuse not to buy one? I'm actually surprised they only got a $500 non restricted gouge from the importer and retailer.
If anyone ever expected this rifle to shoot 1moa or better I'd like some of what you're smokin.
We hear this every time a rifle comes to the market and no one seems to understand what makes a rifle accurate. These are cheap semi auto rifles and chances are about 99.999% they will not shoot better than 1.5-2moa at best.

I already got the rifle paid for , it's in the mail. There's post in another thread from a guy who has one , he said he was doing 1 Moa with AE AR223 ammo and 1 1/2 with Norc ammo. The J 48 has been in Canada for a couple of months already. If I can get 1 Moa and it's reliable , that would be great. If not , oh well , it's the same as the rest of the NR black rifles. Except for the ACR, which I've only heard of doing 1 Moa or better, but have yet to see any proof.:)

I cant get 1moa with my precision 223 rifle with AE and especially not norinco, were talking 100 yards right?

Lol, sounds like the same stories as the guys getting 1 moa from their XCR's. Just shoot 10 rounds and disregard the flyers and it will do it. I really doubt this rifle will shoot 1moa but if it does then that's great.

My NR ACR will do sub moa with my 300BLK conversion I built for it. I have to use handloads though and it was built with a match grade stainless barrel plus I have to do my part which doesn't happen every day but it will do it most of the time.

Here's some proof :)
