Just doing some research online about 10mm and the guns that chamber the cartridge. Came across the original 10mm semi, the Bren Ten. Talk about a blast from the past!
Since the gun is now defunct and rare, I was wondering if there are any CGNers who actually own/ owned one, how the gun handled and how it shot. Also, what is one worth, if you can actually find one.
Please post pics of yours if you actually have one of these unicorns!

Yes those are pretty neat. I have not seen one for sale so have no idea what they are worth but obviously they pretty rare as you state. If you wanted the closest pretender, EAA and Tanfoglio make (or made) something similar.

Many of them have serious flaws in the metallurgy making them potentially unsafe to fire. I know of at least three in the hands of CGNers.

I'm always happy to see these resurrection projects but sadly few ever come to fruition.

Someone was going to remake the automag a few years ago too. That would have been very cool.

I'd stay away from Tanfoglio EAA 10mm's, they seem to have a whole lot of problems with them in the U.S.

If you want something that slightly resembles a Bren Ten you may want to find a S&W 1006.

I remember checking out a Bren 10 at Shooters Unlimited (Burnaby, BC) in the mid 1980's. I wanted one sooooo badly, but they were about $800, if I recall correctly, and I just could not afford it. There is one on Gun Broker, right now, the "buy now" price is $5,000 !!!

They actually made a .45ACP version...now that I would buy today in a heart beat.

I worked at Shooter's between 87 and 89! Didn't remember seeing the Bren Ten then
Shot my first Delta Elite there though!

I think it was '85. Shooters also had surplus Semi Auto converted Israeli Army Uzis and the Calico 9mm and .22 carbines at about that time. Man...if I had bought an Uzi I would have a CA prohib licence now.

You are bringing back old memories. I shot those Uzis!! Joe Dlask worked there then! I see your avatar. Did you play with the Thompson in the display case? That was one heavy gun!
I use to unpack those Calicos. Thought they were cheap crap then. Never thought they would be prohib!!
Do you remember who worked there then?

Good to know. A 10 auto has been on my list for awhile. I missed a 1006 on ee 3 week ago. Unless another comes up, I'm holding out for a 1911 londslide or the new 10mm sig p220 next year hopefully.

Is that Sig 10mm confirmed for production? Any ideas of an ETA for Canada?
