I had fired my Baby Eagle for the 2nd time yesterday, and got a couple of problems.
All of a sudden, the gun failed to fire, and kept doing so until I field-stripped it, wiped off excess oil, and reassembled. I noticed very faint firing pin marks on the primers which makes me believe this could be the problem. The rounds seemed to chamber OK, but there were fairly deep marks on those bullets, and those marks were running at an angle to the bullet's body. The feed ramp looks clean & without burrs.
I'm using the 115g S&B ammo that never gave me any issues in my Shadow. When I received my Jericho I only field-stripped it for cleaning. Should I disassemble further & clean the firing pin and spring? If so, I'd appreciate instructions on how to take it apart...
I am also wondering why the pistol ejects all over the place. My Shadow ejects at about 4-5 o'clock. Jericho goes anywhere from 1 to 6 o'clock, LOL. I kid you not: one shell hit me in the chest, how lame is that?
TIA.
P.S. While I'm at it: is there anything I can do to polish the 'gritty' finish without ruining the bluing, to make it feel more smooth, like the Shadow? I like CZ's finish much better. Plastic grips are also annoying, I'd much rather use simple rubber ones like on the Shadow. Would the grips from a regular 75b fit?
