All of my dealings with Marstar have been great. If John decides to leave because of all the nitpicking of a few individuals so be it. I guess I will have to type out his website on my browser.I will continue to be a Marstar customer as long as he stays in Canada.I am sure that he has a bigger market in the U.S. and I hope he doesn't move his operations there.Did anyone complain about the Soviet combo he offered? Not one person that I know of that got in on it.People just have unrealistic expectations sometimes.I have ordered items and 3 days later I get them, sometimes it takes 2 weeks.

Only 2 of my 4 orders with Marstar had been correct or went as planned. The two that got processed as expected took phone calls and a lot of time (way more time than other dealers)

I've wanted to order again due to the prices but the lack of service kept me from being a repeat customer.

There are better dealers on CGN. Marstar had been the worst I've done business with.

Maybe it's just that other dealers set the bar so high. I don't know.

I wouldn't miss Marstar from CGN and I'm not saying that to be vindictive. They probably have a place as a wholesaler but they just lack in customer satisfaction (mine and many others)

I've voted with my dollar; Marstar isn't on my list of places to shop.

showed my friend marstar when he was shopping for his first ever firearm, ordered a russian hardwood sks from marstar last week friday, just received his rifle in the mail today!, rifle is in excellent condition for a factory refurb, keep up the good work John and everyone else at marstar

Can't say I blame Marstar. Never dealt with them but CGN is rapidly turning into a peanut gallery or as I've heard it described..."reddit for gun owners". Just look how many big time posters have gone quiet, silent or actually left in the last year or two. There is still the odd gem of good info or lively discussion but this site is a shadow of what it once was. I'm actually surprised more sponsors haven't left.

Thank goodness there are still other options for Canadian Gun Owners on the internet.

Problems happen, but jumping on a soapbox and screaming your lack of satisfaction out to the masses serves what purpose? What would have been the course of action 20 yrs ago? Maybe a phone call or an angry letter. How long would a response take in those days? I would take a retailer with a little sass or sarcasm over an American big box store with outrageous prices. We should all thank Businesses like this that push for more toys for us to play with at more reasonable prices. Where else can you get a NEW pistol for under 400, or an AR for 700. Regardless what you think of Chinese firearms, these products make OUR hobby enjoyable to those who cant pony up for some of the higher end toys out there.
Quite frankly, who here would not get fired up when people publicly slander and attack you/your business as soon as they feel wronged? I respect him more for leaving this as an open dialogue instead of locking the thread as soon as things get ugly.

If it was not for Marstar I would not have discovered Norinco :) First pistol, and parts and other stuff.... I can't say they were bad transactions, actually quite the opposite, much the same as many other dealers I have dealt with. One thing I have learned is patience, if you don't have it, stick to buying stuff off the shelves at your local store.

Go/stay, makes no difference to a lot of people, I don't really care. I will still be checking the web site once a week for specials like I have last few years and I will still order from marstars when there is a great deal or a special. So STAY/Go, make up your mind and just pull the trigger, no pun intended
