If Marstar has what you want at the right price, then buy it. If something gets screwed up between your clicking a button and it getting to your door, they make it right.

I had to twice return a rifle that ultimately turned out to be a lemon. I am out of pocket exactly $0. So what's with all of the drama?

Honestly, this generation....

Think about it in a different context guys. He screwed up in the on-line customer service aspect & is doing the right thing by closing this avenue of E-Commerce marketing .
This dude has gone the wrong way if you ask me.

As an investor in different commodities for a living, I would never do business with someone with an on-line forum reputation such as his.

Umm... Well maybe you haven't noticed that this is a two way street, so if you harass and bash a dealer and expect them to respond with smiles and hugs you are in the wrong place. As you see time and time agin, most of these people complaining are whiners that whine about every transaction from every dealer here on the forum in public.

It's great that you have an opinion that suits you though.
 
Don't leave. Just close your forum to public comments and use it solely for making announcements. Forums are generally losing the usefulness that came from open discussion as the general population dumbs down. Move on but don't move out. ;)

I just had a look at some of your past comments in an attempt to gain a little more respect for what you have to say. Couldn't find anything interesting.

To stay on track here... why don't you add something constructive to this thread instead of criticizing. It makes me chuckle how threads stray off course because of comments like yours.
 
people get frustrated when you go on the website a million times and all you get is "out of stock", so when you stated your frustration you get a sarcastic response, im sure some of the responses were overly rude but at the end of the day, whenever I went onto their site all you saw was "out of stock"

Hardly anything in stock, and mostly crap IMO. I'm not into Norinco, corrosive ammo or cheap accessories (NC Star )
I think he has conducted himself poorly on the board here and rubbed many people the wrong way.
 
Meh, I wrote off Marstar a long time ago. Pretty much a dry well. Let's put it this way: whenever I'm lusting for a particular item I never even bother checking their site.
 
WOW, Still open, these vets are tough, the always right current entitlement generation would have bailed out long ago. Yup, say something mean to me, go on FB, Twit to the world how unnice you were with sad smillies :(

Bet the mods wish they could close these threads.
 
I would like to end my posting about with this "coup d'etat". Let this be a lesson to future aspiring and current dealers. You CANNOT run a business by showing people constantly what they might one day have but no time soon. ie: all those Norinco pistols especially the Chinese army 9mm"s but have never actually seen them in stock. Also the Sig clones.

ok, I've not bought a thing from Marstar ever, my personal disclaimer. I imagine they might be the best place in the world with the greatest pricing, selection, and customer service imaginable.

But let it go! If John wants to leave this forum for whatever reason, so be it. He has his reasons and I'm pretty sure he has judged that it's because it is to his benefit. People are people, they do what is best for themselves.

Time after time I have seen some poor semi-computer illiterate schmuck who is at his wits end start a thread trying to get something, anything at all, out of someone at Marstar about an order or warranty issue. And time after time I have seen then treated with contempt.
Decided a long time ago that I would never buy anything from them. I would sooner pay more from someone else, or do without.
