I just got a JR and I'm wondering were I can get a wrench for that castle nut in the buttstock assembly?
 
Honestly, I can't remember. Just call Doug and ask, the FRT number is generated so just another rebarrel job for him
 
Can someone go over the whole process of mounting AR hand guards on the JR Carbine. I really hate the short forend on the JR especially since it has an 18'' barrel.

Id like to throw a JP or Troy rail on there if its not to much of a hassle.

Did you get the original barrel back from epps so you can switch it back or is it like the Storm and you don't get it back?
 
I don't have the original barrel, I had two complete jr carbines and planned to keep one non-restricted. I decided that was pointless once I realized how much more I like the shorty so I got rid of the non-restricted one
 
How easy is it to swap the barrels back and forth, depending on where you are shooting? Or is that a legal no no?

Compared to a 556 shorty, this offers cheap wide variety of ammo, less ricochet, less noise, less over penetration, same mags.....conversely I would prefer a rifle cartridge for outdoors with a longer barrel

Stick with Yankee Hill Machine forends. They do not need any mods to swap out. Just buy it and away you go! Altough I'm not sure if a Troy would need a modification.
I looked into alot of forends and YHM was the one that I found that did not.
They are also cheaper.
