JR Carbine

Have the .45 ... Was hard on brass till I called and they sent me the upgrade kit ( buffer ) .. Just a dream to shoot now .. Add a nice little red dot .. Total fun ..

.45 is a reloaders dream. .. No necks .. No sizing .. Load and go .. Perfect for the range ..

I'm very pleased with mine. Chambered in 9mm, has been 100% reliable so far. I'm able to hit a standard IPSC target at 200 yards with it. I'm biased, but I think they look great all dolled up in magpul goodies.

does any one know where i could get a 9mm in muddy girl pink camo. i called a few places and they can't be bothered. they make them and if we can get the zombie green one here ( i had one of these in my hand) then i can't see why i can't get the pink one. oh, it's ok, i'm a girl. if this gets me nowhere, i'll call JRC .
Reliable in Vancouver has a 9mm MuddyGirl in Pink and I believe Wanstall's in Maple Ridge has one also.

I dunno, I think the guy doesn't know what a JR carbine is, that thing is all metal, I don't get where he gets his plastic from.

Perhaps his buddy bought a Mossberg 715t? Now that is one big hunk of plastic. The JR is a nicely made piece, clean, sharp and without tooling marks.

I seem to recall having seen one in full pink, not pink camo though. I don';t know where, but I frequent Reliable and Wanstalls so it has to be either one.

Have you thought about getting a black one and just painting pink camo on it? That would work and it would be a cool project, lots of masking tape but it would be pretty cool to do, very artsy in a militaristic kind of way.

I had some problems with my JR in the beginning, even though the upgrade kit was already installed. I modified the mag spring a little as suggested on the JR website, and have shot a few hundred rounds through it. As I shoot more rounds through it, it seems to be getting smoother and much more reliable. About the only thing that I don't like about it is needing a wrench to remove the buffer tube in order to tear it down. Otherwise, I quite like it. It certainly is very accurate to shoot.

I bet the receiver won't crack like my SU-16 did. ;)

I like hearing this from you, ditched my su16 and am in need a fun semi-auto, the jr carbine was high on the list and this thread is cementing it's spot.

I had some problems with my 9mm in the beginning so I'm not going to say its perfect. But now that I have that worked out, the thing shoots pretty well, pretty damn well, dolled it up with a forgrip like yours and an eotech 512 and a g33 mag.

AR A1 or A2 butt stock & tube . make a spacer so the internal tube length is the same as the JR tube.

AR detachable carry handle

AR barrel nut . you will need to make a spacer to go between the barrel & nut

AR front sight . cross pins will not work on the JR barrel , drill a set screw hole up through bayonet lug.

Hand guards on mine in pic are the longer carbine length

The best looking JR I've come across, I'm very impressed. I've saved this for future plagiarism. Thanks #1BC

I won't lie to you...my JRC wasn't flawless out of the box. Not too many choices in a NR rifle in the thousand dollar or less price range, unfortunately. They need to make the AR's non-restricted...I have a couple just dying to have more fun. :D

I'm a lefty...otherwise, I'd be all over that T97.

They will bend over backwards to help you personally if you have a problem .

I've had mixed feelings about their support as well, some times it's spectacular I agree. Other times very much less so. A lot of talking on the phone, not really amounting to anything better or fixed in the end...

I filled their form thingy on their website 4 times, called them after they never called me, one of the guys there told me their gunsmith was at the range and he would call me back, I told him to please make sure to leave a message on my phone with an apointment time when I can call him back, he never called me or left me a message, now I have to hunt them down again tomorrow.

So no it's not flawless support. It's better than some crappy companies, yes I agree, but it's not superb in my opinion.

You can't buy the parts form their website because they will not ship to Canada. So then what do I do? Can't talk to them for a replacement, can't outright just buy the part, can't do nothing...
