JR Carbines at Epps

Since you mentioned the Linda...a makeshift type

not mine.

Strange but I like it!!!

Soooo...did anyone get theirs yet? Any pics of the long barrel? A test drive perhaps? Anything?

I keep wobbling between Gotta Have One! and don't really need one, and am hoping for something to push me one way or the other.

Well, I folded and ordered one over the weekend. Canada Post says I'll have it on the 8th...

...Harv checks the forecast, sees it could be semi-decent that day...

...and you should see my preliminary report and pictures by the 9th. :)

Finally got mine in the post from Ellwood Epp's.
Looks a little 'gangly' with the non-restricted barrel, but otherwise pretty cool.
Uses AR 'rear end'....buffer tube, buffer, spring, with what appears to be an AR grip with AR trigger 'pack'.
I didn't realize that it should be capable of calibre switch...with the required barrel, bolt head, etc., but someone has thought this one through pretty well.
It is also capable of switching from right to left hand eject, charging handle, etc....
I've mounted some Troy folding BUIS as well as an Aimpoint micro....
I should have a chance to give it a whirl this Saturday, so will take some pics and provide some impressions....
Stay tuned....
PS..will have a busy day as I'll also have to dial in/trial my new(used) RFB obtained off the EE

(Anybody want to take over my pre-order, with paid deposit, from Wanstall's?)

Bought it, got it, haven't shot it, but I sure like feeling it up!!
I won't get a chance to shoot for a couple weeks. Best part is I'll be able to field trial it up the street in a farm field!! Long barrel a little odd, but not totally out of place. If these things prove reliable, they are going to fly off shelves.... That's my prediction. IF.... They prove reliable!

I've just checked, and it seems that it has been fitted with a commercial, as opposed to, a milspec buffer tube....
Pit of a pisser, as now I'll have to fit my own tube to take another stock...
Again, I'll try and post some pics within the day.....
The stock is pinned, but easy enough to resolve.
Small drill bit through the open side....then drill back another hole, large enough to drift out the roll pin...
Voila!....Instant adjustable stock...just like the Maker intended......
Uses a stock AR grip, so changing it out shouldn't be an issue....

Please be advised that ALL purchases of the JR Carbines from Ellwood Epps will be subject to a review by the Chief Firearms Office, and that this review will result in a delay in delivery of all newly purchased firearms. This delay is caused by the requirement of the CFO to review the registration and sale of these guns due to the inclusion of a 10-round magazine with a semi-automatic center-fire rifle. This is not a measure that was put in place by Ellwood Epps, but by the Chief Firearms Office themselves.

The average delay time in receiving confirmation for transfers of the JR Carbines to individual buyers and to businesses is ranging from 2-3 days.

If you are intending to purchase a JR Carbine, we would strongly suggest that you call ahead, or use our electronic order form to place your order in advance so that you can pick up your rifle in 2-3 days' time once the transfer has been completed.

We do apologize for this situation, but the matter is not of our control, and is the current method by which we are able to sell these guns.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in this matter.
